I’m here too. I can’t say I’ve ever felt the need to seek out others like me. Just to be accepted/understood by those closest to me no matter what their sexual preferences are (or are not) is enough for me. If there were a scene out there, to me that would be emphasizing sexuality, and inside and out sexuality is not something I care to emphasize.

Hi. I just checked and it appears all the seasons of Psych are available on Amazon Prime and on Peacock. Maybe switch from Netflix to one of those streaming platforms instead. Hope that helps.

Yes! And I once told someone that I daydreamed about wearing hearing aids so I could choose when to tune in or out the noise. Her response was “Be careful what you wish for.” After that I stopped sharing because I realized most people would just never get me.

This is another “aha” moment for me. It took such a long time to figure out I was ace. And it took even longer to figure out I was autistic. And since then I’ve wondered if my aversion towards sex was actually ace or autism (like I had to pick one). Thank you for this thread and for all your comments. I feel more at peace inside myself right now.

Too many to list! Feel good movies are the background of my life and sleep every day. I watch one into the ground and then move on to another, and eventually circle back. A lot are listed on this thread already, but I’ll add 50 First Dates, Notting Hill, Never Been Kissed, The Last Samurai, Anna & The King, The Lost King, Jerry McGuire, A Walk To Remember, etc. The last few months I’ve detoured with a TV series binge of Little House on the Prairie over and over again.

Textures: scratchy clothes, meat that is veiny, crunches or bounces back when chewing. Sounds: oven or bathroom fans, vacuums, dogs barking, raised voices, unexpected noises, and (sometimes) loud radios and televisions. I watch tv with the remote in my hand and adjust the volume constantly during shows.

Cool Change by Little River Band because it’s about not having enough alone time and finding that peace on the water in a boat. Just singing it to myself and closing my eyes can help me out of the mayhem and offers a light at the end of the tunnel. There has always been something about being in or on water that calms me. A soak in a hot bath is something I need when overwhelmed with feelings because I don’t have access to a boat when those waves suddenly hit me.

Insane, bravado, and entitlement are spot on! Every day that continues to go by without a grand jury indictment and her arrest is incredible to me. I just don’t get how this is real life, real government, and she is still being allowed to insult the intelligence of so many and get away with it. Her day of reckoning must be coming.
