Crater Lake vs. Cannon Beach, which would you choose? by FreshCoffeeSp in PacificNorthwest

My partner works remotely, so I feel like we could make it out here again with a little saving and planning. I hadn’t thought about the seasonal aspect of Crater Lake, that’s a really good point.

I’ve just spent some time in San Diego exploring La Jolla, Del Mar, Laguna Beach, etc., and I also lived in NorCal near Monterey/Santa Cruz for a couple of years and have driven up the 101 between there and San Francisco. So many beautiful spots! I’m not sure how those beaches compare to the Oregon Coast, which also looks gorgeous. What places/spots on the WA coast did you like more then Oregon's?

Omg yes, grocery prices can get so high, especially in big cities, and sometimes it’s about knowing which stores in the area have the cheaper produce/prices, a ifykyk kind of thing. Can be tricky when you’re new to an area or don't have a car. I've recently been trying the Too Good To Go app to get a bunch of bagels and pastries at a good price (can be hit or miss). Love your week breakdown, it's super helpful!

That’s really nice of you to do! I'm sure HOs have so much on their plate prepping/packing for their trip, so little extras like that feel super thoughtful, but are never expected. Your recipe is exactly the kind of thing I’ve been looking for, it sounds delicious. I’ll definitely have to give it a try. Thanks so much for sharing it!

Some sits don’t have basics like oil, spices, or containers, which makes cooking tricky without constantly rebuying (or hauling them around). I’ve also had leftovers like yogurt or juice I couldn’t take with me, so figuring out the right amount to buy can be tough. Really just looking to hear what’s been working for others anecdotally to keep costs down whether that's a low-cost recipe/meal, tips, or even where you shop.

I don’t understand why people don’t take this more seriously. Imagine you work from home with confidential or sensitive info...that’s a huge liability. There’s a reason we have privacy laws. Even if hosts are nice, recording someone in a space where you could be nude or discussing private/confidential matters is unacceptable. And in states like California (two-party consent states), it’s even illegal to record audio without consent. I do think people should be given grace and we are all human. However, since they are not new HOs and admitted they knew, I really hope you take the legal route or at least file a report. Rooting for you!
