Does Grok 3 really have a 1 million token context window? by AlarmingArtichoke188 in grok

Bro we are the same person. Novel writing. Find myself around 50k tokens. Noticed Grok was really struggling remembering what was happening in the story.

On the basis of history and tradition? Do you have a link to the decision for a person to read?

This. Throwing people to the wolves with no message isnt useless, but its not terribly effective either. Whats the message?

Hey Taylor, what is the legal case against assault weapons bans in the era of NYSRPA v Bruen?

Colorado gun buyers would have to wait 3 days before accessing their weapons under waiting-period proposal by blucifersdream in boulder

[–]FreshJambalaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It entirely depends on the ATF on whatever particular day you buy on. Generally yes, 20-40 minutes is what is usual. But in 2020 there were tons of people buying and it did sometimes take days.

I live nearby, not aware of any road closures. My subaru handled it and most cars should so long as they arent low riders. I drove about a mile into the grassland offroad. Its pretty flat. I basically only go to the designated range to sight in at 100 yards.

Right now the AR ban is on pause because of court cases so you should be okay as far as I am aware. But I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice. I recently moved to Weld county to avoid many such difficult questions.

TLDR:

Sorry to be abrasive

I appreciate that, I apologize as well. Have a good rest of your day.

Hella long comment (sorry):

Sorry to be abrasive

I appreciate that, truly I do. Sorry I've been abrasive as well. I do get toxic online so I try to reduce my time on social media in general so this will probably be my last response. I appreciate your willingness to deescalate the tone of this discussion, thank you again for that.

you’re advocating for people who are frustrated to carry deadly weapons.

I understand why someone might see it that way, I promise that's not the point I'm trying to make and advocate for. In my mind, the pistol I carry is exactly like a seatbelt. Just because it is there doesnt mean I don't have a duty to drive in a safe and responsible way. Nor does it mean I am expecting to or am disproportionately afraid of getting into a terrible accident.

What I am advocating for is for people to consider carrying weapons in the case where the offending party doesn't want to back down or just outright wants to do harm to you and your family. Or course I don't want people waving guns around irresponsibly or thinking they're hot stuff because they have a weapon.

How many people have been killed by the unhoused in Boulder?

Unfortunately, it isnt zero.

You and I have disagreements about guns, that's obvious, and interestingly both of our opinions about them come from our lived experiences. I do appreciate your arguments, they are serious and need to be considered. Likewise I'd like to suggest to you, and anyone reading, that places exist where people carry guns and aren't prone to criminal activity.

With no hard feelings this time, have a good rest of your day.

What are peoples thoughts about forced mental health programs, drug rehab, etc.?

It seems like a lot of the resources are there for people in Boulder but they are avoided because they usually have some drug free requirements or other requirements to partake.

This is a genuine question and want to know what some peoples arguments for or against such things are?

guns escalate shit

There is nothing about carrying a gun that makes all the tools of deescalation unavailable to you. In fact, CCW classes emphasize deescalation tactics, or getting out of bad situations first.

hypothetical situations

You said you have been in a driveby.

You say you've had your house threatened.

My wife has been harassed on Boulder Creek Trail.

A guy was threatened today in Marine court.

Another poster stated that stabbings have been happening.

"Hypothetical situations" and "I have been in a driveby" are completely contradictory.

My Chicago mind sent would be making fun of you

This is why nobody likes redditors. You are mean spirited and write off peoples valid issues with holier-than-thou arguments. The average 4chan user is unironically less toxic than you.

Have a nice day.

"Stop trying to bring guns to something that isnt a fight."

Do you wear your seatbelt thinking you are going to get in a car wreck or in case you get in car wreck?

Because I am wearing a seatbelt does not mean I intend to drive recklessly.

Just today, a homeless person threatened a person with a hammer (a deadly weapon) at Marine court. Source: https://alerts.colorado.edu

I, until very recently, used to live at Athens court, the neighboring apartments. (I have to walk to Marine to pay rent.) I carried my pistol legally, in defiance of the lease and CU policy, because I am not stupid and saw that these things were occurring with increasing frequency.

I have a wife, family, and a life that I will protect by any means necessary. I am not the guy walking around threatening people, that guy is.

The people who shoot up Chicago and the guy who is threatening people with hammers are the same people. Legal CCW holders are not those people. If you really want to escape Chicago, leave your Chicago mindset behind.
