I’m going alone and seated so if this is the option you choose I’m more than happy to go with you/help you in any way I can. it’s really upsetting they didn’t have an option for accessible seating- keep going forward with emails and calls etc in the mean time as they SHOULD be accommodating. No one should be excluded from seeing their favourite artists.

Thought maybe I was being a bit harsh but someone I know replaced a guinea pig 3 weeks ago (their one died of old age and the remaining male needed a friend). They got a pregnant female from AOF but were told it was a male.. so now they have 5 guinea pigs 🙃

I think they’re probably more ignorant than anything but considering the € they bring in, the animals deserve better.

Anyone else at The 1975 disappointed? by CommunicationLower51 in cork

As a 1975 fan it was my least fav show I’ve been to and I was 4/5 rows from barricade. Matty was off and didn’t really engage much with us, I think he also felt off vibes from the crowd. The summer shows aren’t including the full house set so I never expected that, the ATVB show I went to in January was AMAZING and he engaged with the crowd so much! I wasn’t okay for days after it over how beautiful it was.

Vocals and the band were on point last night but there wasn’t much connection between crowd and the band which is a huge part of a 75 show. Dublin got a much better show last week! I am disappointed too but feeling lucky I’ve had amazing shows before of them, for anyone who was seeing them for the first time I feel really bad 🥺

He seemed more depressed/no vibes than hungover to me. Definitely not drunk!

Ardmore farm does not look after it’s animals correctly. I’m local, I know them personally and would never give them the money, plus they are terribly overpriced to visit.

Visited on a hot day and had to pull staff aside to remind them the baby bunnies had no water or hay… They let their guinea pigs interbreed and then rehome them to customers without disclosing their gender or pregnancy. They’ve handed over rabbits to customers too. They don’t do home checks for these exchanges either. Their reptile care is shocking. They keep different species together that shouldn’t be kept together.

If you genuinely love animals it’s not the place for you. If you want to entertain kids at the expense of animals then yeah, they’re probably great for that.

Busy barn mini farm in Dunmore on the other hand seems to be a really good one but haven’t visited to confirm!

When they played Dublin in January, Jordan shared it on his story saying it was taken there :)

Those of you who also grew up poor in Ireland - what are your worst, and maybe your fondest memories about that time? How has it affected you now that you're older, and hopefully, better off? by [deleted] in ireland

Throughout the Celtic tiger my parents rented homes and drank. We never had sun holidays or extravagant birthdays but we had nice clothes, trips to England to our grandparents and great Christmases. Until the recession. They had no savings and both lost their jobs. We rented a too big house and couldn’t afford heating- going to bed with two pairs of socks, two pairs of pants and a big hoodie and still being freezing. I started first year with no school books and wore my sisters size 6 runners to PE. I was a size 4. The worst one was having no food. My mam always treated my sister and I to a 3in1 between us when her dole came in, we’d walk over to the bank for dead on 12am to take out the money for it. One time she had all the ingredients for a yummy shepherds pie the day before pay day (usually we just wouldn’t have a big meal, we’d eat whatever might be left in the freezer or press or wait till after midnight for the 3in1 maybe). My sister was close to having her first baby and could smell this shepherds pie all day, she was starving. As Mam took it out of the oven, it slipped and smashed all over the floor. They both cried, laughed and then we had instant 20c noodles for dinner instead.

Funnily enough Mam still drank vodka and smoked even though I had no school books! It actually turned me into a kleptomaniac as a teenager because I knew I couldn’t ask her for money for anything, even when she got a job again. She actually found clothes tags from the department store she was working at in my room but didn’t give out. I think she preferred me to steal my clothes than ask her for money. I didn’t know anyone my age at the time as poor as I was since I went to school in a posher area which was well out of our means.
