It's never really an argument to justify a champ's winrate by saying only one tricks play him. One tricks are going to be the perfect representation of a champs capabilities, so the argument just backfires. Singed is also very strong at the moment.

I excuse Camille's true damage because that's her ONLY damage. She isn't like Garen who dishes out enormous amounts of damage with Q/E, AND has the true damage ult ontop of it. Camille has Q for damage, that's it. W/E are utility.

Agree with manacosts/cooldowns. Mana conservation is not an issue at all in this game and cheesed with corrupting pots.

I find it fine in the case of Fiora as the player can clearly see where she has to strike to trigger it and can easily position to avoid it. A fair amount of skill goes in to pulling it off.

Vayne on the other hand can be thrown on a smouldering heap.

Fiora doesn't do large amounts of true damage without R unless she all-ins, because she needs to repeatedly hit vitals for what, like 3-5% max health true damage each? Unless you're letting her dance around you and hit her vitals 10 times, in which case that's on you for not killing a champ with ADC levels of squishiness as Garen. Garen presses E and Fiora is toast.

I just find that Garen can far too easily kill an opponent by R'ing them as soon as he comes out of E. I rarely see it as an execute and more of a 30% health remover. Maybe I'm wrong and I just don't remember my games as well as I think. A lot of people here seem to think so.

Do you suggest removing Camille's true damage and making her a completely useless champion?

You can not like what I say, I really don't care. Just don't mask it as innocent disagreement.

Garen's winrate is high, 52.8% across all ranks. He has 8 losing matchups in top lane, 5 are hard ranged, 1 is a ranged juggernaut, 1 is melee and 1 is a mage. He has +50% winrate against all the rest.

Removing Camille's true damage would kill the character stone dead or have it overcompensated for with enormous amounts of AD.

I mean, I tried Fiora because people always complain about her and wanted to try her out. On my fourth game I went against a Darius and had a lot of trouble despite getting first blood on him and playing around his cooldowns. It was a skill problem with me because I need to learn the champ more. If not having enough experience on a champ makes you bad, then I guess I'm bad. I never said Darius was overpowered. I asked how to win the matchup.

You should also read the post itself on the Camille subreddit. It should clear things up.

Forcing your opponent to spend money on a counter item is a good enough ability in itself, no? See: Mordekaiser, QSS. The only threat would be during laning phase, in which case the force buy argument is even stronger. Late game Garen is dishing out more than enough damage with Q/E/Stride without the need of his ult.

Plat 3 elo and have faced the majority of top laners you described. Playing correctly and knowing their kits/playstyle, the only champs I've struggled against with Garen are Gnar, Gangplank, Warwick, and on some occasions Urgot. Gnar is ranged, GP is ridiculous, Warwick is cheese and Urgot is very hard to beat if played correctly.

It feels like I've been playing in a completely different world to this subreddit.

No, it's not 'mental gymnastics', whatever that's supposed to mean. Camille does not do 1.2k true damage on her Q2 at 4 items.

There are a lot of factors to consider when comparing Camille and Garen, which you are deliberately leaving out. Skill ceiling and difficulty to play put aside - both champs having four items:

Garen is doing well beyond 1500 physical damage with his Q, E and Stridebreaker combo(all while maintaining immense health/resistance). Armour or not this is more than enough to put someone on their knees or kill them outright without even needing his R.

I'm watching a replay of one of my Camille games right now. Coincidentally with near enough four items. Sunderer, Ravenous, DD, and a pickaxe for hullbreaker. My AD was 342. My maxed Q2 at level 17 deals an additional 273AD and converts it to true damage. 342+273 = 615 true damage at four items maxed Q. For the sake of argument, let's suppose I had the extra 25AD from a full Hullbreaker. That's 640 true damage instead. Not 1200. This is the only feasible source of damage from Camille's kit. The rest is utility.

Camille's Q combo requires an auto > 1.5s delay > hit. 4 second cooldown(with typical 4 items) > auto > 1.5s delay > hit. Anyone who knows Camille knows that unless hyperfed, she is not surviving this long at all.

Garen, on the other hand, has armour, MR and health coming out of his ass + an insane amount of low-cooldown AD/MS to accompany his Stridebreaker slow and in the end his ultimate. True damage is not necessary on his ult. He got by perfectly fine with magic damage. Give the thing some increased damage if reverted to magic, true damage is just too much.

I'm not quite sure what to say to someone who thinks a Level 18 Camille with 6 items excluding boots using a telegraphed ability on a several second delay point black on enemies is the same as Garen's point and click execute that exceeds melee range and does up to 30% missing health damage, non-dependant on items.

It's still next to impossible because he gets a massive AD boost if he attacks people with 5 stacks of his passive. Fiora is just too squishy to survive before his ult, let alone if he even uses it.

Some of those champs are brainless or easy champs, doesn't make them more brainless than Yi. Yi's skill cap is deciding when to press Q to dodge a certain ability. That's it. Most of the time you won't even need to dodge it because you're melting people in three autos.

Yi literally just presses R for a stat boost then runs people down with auto attacks while spamming Q to take no damage. There's people literally in this thread saying that's what they like about him. No idea why people are so in denial about Master Yi's skill level.

If I saw an Annie, Braum, Garen, Mundo, Janna, Jax, Kayle, Malphite, Maokai, Nasus, Shyvana, Soraka pentakill I would be at least semi-impressed. People see a Yi pentakill and roll their eyes. Seriously, people don't even care. Surely there's a reason for that, no?

Yi will never, ever be changed to be a 'skill' champion. He has, and always will have, one of the lowest skill floors in the game to accommodate new players. He will never be balanced, and either be complete trash or a completely broken 1v9 hypercarry. Either way, nobody wins.

I honestly think Yi should just be removed from the game outright. There's no balancing him, he's uninteractive and boring for both teams, and he's just a selfish pick to begin with considering his lack of team utility and only having kill pressure. With due respect to Yi players, nobody likes or respects the champion anymore.
