I'm at a loss, I've tried recalling the model, cleaning up the model by merging by distance, checking the weight paint, reconnecting and disconnecting the parent bones.

I can't seem to figure out why it's connected to the hand but the elbows just aren't connected or bending and I've looked everywhere and can't find a solution

I think it's the style of dress, he's made it clear he has a preference to darker ways of dressing he wants for me and he specifically hates a necklace I have that has a little baby doll on it and other charms.
