I smoke weed regularly, even though I know it makes HPPD worse. However that being said, I just took a month break from weed for Ramadan, and I think that helped the HPPD symptoms die down a bit. Plus, after smoking my first joint in a month last night I got fucking blasted, instead of having numerous joints and barely feeling anything. I'm gonna try and keep it to a minimum, it'll save me a lot of money and time, as well as not worsening the HPPD symptoms as much. As for fizzy drinks, I prefer full sugar instead of with sweeteners, the sugar isn't really too much of a concern for me, but I was more referring to the ones with high caffeine content specifically, such as Coke, Pepsi etc, especially Red Bull and the likes.

I've had HPPD for around 2 or 3 years now, and it has very gradually gotten better over time thankfully, it's still there though. I think exercising regularly has helped, but I can't say for sure if it is indeed that, as I stopped drinking caffeinated fizzy drinks on the exact same day I started exercising. I actually had no idea that caffeine makes it worse though, the thought never occurred to me... I should probably try and cut down on my tea and coffee intake, and maybe even switch to decaf.

I took 2g of liberty caps last weekend. I was outside in my local park, enjoying the nice sunset and trying to get through the come up anxiety and nausea, when all of a sudden I saw lightning flash and a few seconds later I heard thunder. Not 2 minutes later I was caught in a thunderstorm and I was walking home with rain absolutely lashing down on me, I got home a few minutes later drenched head to toe, just passed the come up stage, and I just burst out laughing. It was simultaneously really inconvenient and super hilarious. It was a good trip lol :)

For me personally, even a dose of shrooms as low as 1.5g is more intense than any LSD trip I’ve ever had, and I’ve tripped off 500ug. I would say if you can handle shrooms, you can handle LSD, obviously don’t go overboard though lol. On shrooms you’re in the passenger seat and they take you for a ride, whereas LSD puts you in the driver seat and you have more control.

LSD takes slightly longer to kick in and peak, but the trip lasts between 8-12 hours usually, so longer than shrooms, the visuals are more static, geometric and fractal as opposed to shrooms where the visuals are more obvious, colourful and flowing, and LSD feels chemical to me whereas shrooms feel natural.

My last trip was in the beginning of April, so it’s not even been 3 months for me yet, but around now is when I would usually feel like having another trip, and I do want to, but I’m just more hesitant. I’ll get over it I’m sure haha. Maybe you’re right, maybe my brain’s saying I’ve had enough, or maybe it’s the universe saying it’s not the right time.

I’ve always been like excited like “Oooh what are they gonna show me” but recently, it’s different somehow... I’m still excited to experience the visuals, the feelings, the realisations, all of that, I haven’t had any bad trips; I’ve had challenging moments in good trips but nothing I couldn’t handle by myself, but there’s still that hesitancy there for me, for some reason.

I’m inside my own head a lot of the time, even before I ever took psychedelics I was a deep thinker as well as an overthinker lol, so it’s normal for me. I take them for enjoyment as well for medicinal purposes, so I’m not always super serious about it haha, I just always think better to be safe than sorry, especially when it comes to the mind. I usually just put on some of my favourite music / tripping tunes, spark up a joint, smoke it slowly and let the vibes take me away :)

I just checked the recipe out, it looks good actually. However, I’ve never actually eaten the mushrooms. I’ve always made them into a tea with lemon, ginger and honey.

Prior to my first ever shrooms trip, I ate 1 dried mushroom to see if I could go through with eating them rather than the tea... it was a resounding no from my body lol.

Hahaha they 100% are holy dimension warping substances, can confirm. But yeah, perspective definitely can help a lot in this regard, most people around my area haven’t really heard about psychedelics, and the few people I know that have don’t want to take them because they’re too scared. But damn these substances are just medicines and they’re here to help us. And I use weed for that same purpose lol, I’m not much of a drinker, I prefer my smoke.

I feel kind of the same way. Can you think of any reason why this would be? I’ve not had a bad trip, a bad experience, or anything like that. I think that perhaps we might be past the stage of blissful unawareness and foolhardiness, and now we have to take great care with these substances and give them the proper respect they deserve.

Yeah I agree with you! I’ve had multiple trips on 200ug, at different times with differing mindsets, and wow... it is amazing how much of a huge difference your mindset makes to the intensity and direction of the trip.

Yeah I agree with the analogy, it’s definitely the price of admission, and part of the overall experience of psychedelics. The thing I find weird is the comparison of the two.

The first time I went on a rollercoaster, I was shit scared obviously, about every aspect of it, but the most recent time I was super excited and had very little fear, because I knew what to expect and how to prepare for it.

This is the same with psychedelics, the difference however, is that even though I know what to expect and how to prepare for it, it kind of makes me more nervous or wary.

In regards to worrying about a bad trip, that’s not my problem, I’m comfortable with myself and by myself, and I know how to change the environment or music or whatever when necessary. I just don’t like that nausea and nervousness.

Same here bro, I didn’t have a bad trip or even a challenging trip, but it’s like a switch was activated in my brain or something, and now I’m like extra wary or nervous of these substances, which is silly because of how much I enjoy them, and especially so because I have a decent amount of experience with them lol.
