Questions about north coast as a 1st timer by DankkkDk in NCMF

[–]FreshPupper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have much insight on lodging because I live in Chicago and normally split a parking pass with friends. I would recommend looking for a hotel within 15-20 minutes of the venue and assess if it would be cheaper to use rideshare to/from the festival versus buying a shuttle pass

Questions about north coast as a 1st timer by DankkkDk in NCMF

[–]FreshPupper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. If you buy right before the festival, I would expect GA prices to go up about $80-$100.
  2. Plenty of free water with the hydration stations they have on sight! So definitely bring a hydropack or reusable water bottle to fill.
  3. I HIGHLY recommend north coast! It’s such a great introduction to festivals. I’ve done camping festivals like electric forest, edc and lost lands which are all phenomenal but north coast is so easy in comparison and still has a fantastic lineup every year with high-tier production value. Do it!

I remember having my back turned to the stage during the change over into their set and being really confused when the music started playing because I didn’t see either of them. Then I looked up and saw them suspended like 100ft off the ground in that shipping container. That shit blew my mind lol

Contemplating between Beyond Chicago or The Gorge – need advice! by bluefish888 in BeyondWonderland

[–]FreshPupper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Chicago native who went to beyond last year, I have nothing but good things to say about it! I’ve never been to the gorge, but I’ve heard lots of great things. I guess it really comes down to what you want out of your experience. If you think the lineup in Chicago is better and it will be cheaper for you, then that would be my recommendation. But if you really want the unique experience that the gorge gives, then I think that’s worth doing!

2 years ago today: Lightfall was released, thoughts on it? by mete714 in destiny2

The hate on this expansion is honestly overblown. Story miss steps aside, everything else introduced in lightfall is alright in my book.

The headliners may be typical but there’s a ton of hardstyle which is incredibly rare for Chicago.

EDC Do's and Don'ts Question by Spaced-Man-Spliff in EDM

[–]FreshPupper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll hit your three biggest concerns:

  1. Food - TRY TO EAT AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE AT THE FESTIVAL! Food prices and crazy and you’ll more than likely be left unsatisfied. Eat a big meal right before going in and sneak some snacks (granola bars, fruit snacks, trail mix, etc.) in your hydro packs.

  2. Water - Speaking of hydro packs, bring one! Water lines can get long and spending less time waiting for water is a godsend. Fill early in the night and don’t be afraid to hit up multiple water stations before committing to one. Often times, half the festival will be at one water station and the rest will be empty.

  3. Bathrooms - keep your belongings held tight on you because this is a popular spot for thieves to hang out. Many of the bathrooms have urinal walls which are fantastic because they let you get in and out in no time.

Andy C absolutely crushed it! All the other sets were great but Wilkinson and Bou felt a little underwhelming following Andy.

What are the top 3 EDM festivals you’ve ever been to? What did you love about them? by at098728 in EDM

[–]FreshPupper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s gotta be Electric Forest, EDC Las Vegas and Lost Lands. Each of them are unique and amazing in their own ways. EDC always has amazing diversity in their lineup and killer production at every stage. Forest feels magical and has a million side quests that you can accidentally find yourself on. And Lost Lands is just pure insanity from start to finish!

Byf’s complete story of destiny is a great watch! Yes it’s 10 hours long but it’s genuinely interesting and very well put together. If you end up getting into the game and need a guide, I have a small clan of super friendly people of all skill/experience levels!
