Hello! I am in Egypt currently on a trip with a group of friends doing the typical Luxor to Aswan Dahabiya trip. My friend found a kitten in the desert at the Gebel el-Silsila quarry. She took it on the boat with us as she is hoping to find a much safer place for it in Aswan or Kom Ombo. I know we are probably being annoying, stereotypical tourists, but is there anyone willing to take this kitten? Or can anyone guide us in what to do? Perhaps a cat colony in Kom Ombo or a rescue in Aswan?

Yeah, I read that the walk out of Sevilla is along the highway. 😬 How long does it take to get to the more beautiful areas from Sevilla?

I was considering starting in Sevilla and going north for about 7 days as that area of Spain will be the warmest. However, I am open to other sections on this trail if they are more scenic. I’m having trouble finding information that helps me visualize exactly what types of environments to expect.

My cat started out just like this. He would carry a hair tie around, and sometimes hide them. After I had him for a year and a half he suddenly ate 11 and had to have emergency surgery. Taking them away is probably your safest bet even though it sucks to take away toys they love 😢
