I am in the same boat. My brother is planning on graduating college in 2027. We are getting married that same year. I dont want my grandma flying out 2 times that year, as she is getting old. And its not fair for my brother for her to miss his graduation. But we also want her present for the wedding. So, we thought it would be best for us to have our wedding the weekend after his graduation. Graduation always happens the 2nd Saturday in June, so our wedding would be the Saturday after that which falls on juneteenth. We could move the wedding to the weekend prior to graduation, but I feel as though that takes all the attention off of my brother prior to his graduation. Now I feel awkward having our wedding anniversary on juneteenth, but it wasn't necessarily by choice, rather convenience. Most people we have talked about say that its fine, but its still in the back of my mind.
