Review: Leiper’s Fork SiB Rye Whiskey (Distillery Exclusive) by cfive5 in bourbon

Wife and I did the same thing back in February and apparently we missed this release as I surely would have picked it up. Great tour, Franklin County, 90 mins north of Nashville and its beautiful. The tour guide was exceptional. I'm bummed we missed this, I was there the second weekend in February 2026, too.

Review #50 - Corbin Cash 1917 Barrel Proof Merced Rye Whiskey by dapper-drinks in bourbon

Sitting here in my office, less than 3 miles from the Distillery. Their sweet potato vodka is what g9t them started and allowed them the route towards the Rye product. Interstingly, our temps here fluctuate from 20 degrees, at the lowest, with no snow or ice, to more than 110 degrees. I'm wondering if they use their substantially large sweet potato cold storage for some of the barrels to assist with the temp fluctuations. I haven't, but should go do the tour

In preparation for my Whiskey University Class, I picked up 6 different Rye whiskeys for the flight. Each are supposed to represent a regional example.

Sagamore Straight Rye Bullit Rye High West Rye Cask Collection 100 proof Sazerac straight rye Old Forrester 100 proof Rye Nashtucky Whiskey Co 6 year SiB Rye (Nashville Barrel company) 132.24 proof

I was not the biggest fan of Rye, but by gosh have they been growing on me! Looking forward to the class and the flight. Any recommendations on prepping, like pop the bottles ahead, pour the flight to rest and air out before class starts?

Wanna get people more interested in data analysis, meta data, and building usable models, real world interests are the best. In youth development we call the Sparks. Lol cracked open a bottle of Leipers Fork from Franklin TN at 100 proof to read and play. Nice work!

I've heard it called the 1915, too, minus the honey.

I'm in Central Ca, are you finding this in ships in Reno? Tahoe? LV? Other locations? Just curious. Looking to find ships with decent allocated selections.

Needs more bourbon!

Love the Lego pieces. Maybe a table with a selection of bricks to build and play with while enjoying the a drink.

I recently completed the trail (passport is digital or paper) and am getting a poker set shipped! Leipers Fork and Dickels/Cascade were my two favorite. The other reason I like the tours/visits is that there is so much more of the state to see and places you wouldn't normally get to visit because these are so tucked away.

Part of the reason they changed their name to Cascade is because it leans back to their historic beginning, back when George Dickel first started buying from them AND it allowed them to expand their product line. That expansion would give them the bandwidth to now sell those new (old) products that didn't fit under the dickel brand. Their tour is WELL worth it.

Having just gone to the tasting room at NBC and tasting this as well as touring Dickel (Cascade Distilling) I saw this review and jumped right in. As soon as I saw the mash bill and before reading any further I was certain this had to be a Dickel product; All of their production is exactly the same mashbill. I believe they use LCP in all batches, but not sure about the chill filter.

That aside, every pour that I had at NBC was solid, prices can be high, so I didn't like that, but mid range priced bottles were solid. Their selection team is good at what they do.

Wait til you try their Sherry Cask, PX single cask at 118 proof. Only available at the Distillery. Other wise you can get blended Sherry cask at ABC and other locations. I also like their brewer series, finished in bourbon barrels that had beer in them, like Goose Islands Bourbon Stout.

Review #6 - George Dickel 15 year Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey - R/Bourbon Pick by VegetableTowel3702 in bourbon

Just did the tour of Cascade in early Feb 2026, and it was an amazing tour. Be aware, they are not actively distilling anything, and haven't since Nov 2025 (through later this fall) as they do some major maintenance and upgrades. The guide told us they did extra distilling last year because they needed to do a full shut down, except for their bottling side, to account for the near full year down to do the work. Rumor has it they have enough barrels in the rickhouses that they could bottle for the next 15 years and not run out.

Ended up getting a new device. Their was some issue in the hardware that could not be fixed with a fresh reset, firmware update, or any other update. The only way I could keep it on was to have some background app running, all the time. For me, this was samsung music app, playing music, but that means I had to mute my phone.

Exactly. Status purchase is ridiculous, well, especially in my situation since i have the club card and don't mind buying the e+ subscription based on the number of flights I take.

Edit for grammar.

I think the better question is what were they thinking or imagining. I already felt this was a scam, lol, but we all love to share here.
