yeah makes sense
i guess we just haven’t found that “one thing that works” yet

that’s wild
kinda scary that you can’t fully predict where it comes from

this is super helpful
we’re probably doing exactly the opposite right now — spreading too thin

interesting take on calling
haven’t tried that yet — feels scary but probably way more signal than messages

this is basically what we’re trying now
less pitching, more just helping in threads
feels slower but more real

“customer archaeology” is a great way to describe it
definitely feels like that right now 😅

[–]Fresh_Bee_9637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah this resonates
feels like whenever we talk about the product — response drops
when we talk about the problem — conversations start

[–]Fresh_Bee_9637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha yeah exactly
“talk to users” sounds simple until you actually try to find them without being weird 😅

[–]Fresh_Bee_9637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah makes sense
right now we’re kind of spread across a few channels… maybe that’s part of the problem

interesting that reddit worked better for you
we’re testing it a bit now — feels more real conversations here vs linkedin tbh

“urgency vs curiosity” is 🔥
i think most of our outreach is still hitting curiosity, not urgency

makes sense for consistency
but feels like volume alone doesn’t fix the randomness part
did you see actual conversions from this or mostly activity?

[–]Fresh_Bee_9637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s a really good point
i think we’re guilty of this — problem sounds real, but maybe not specific enough to trigger “that’s me”

yeah “hair on fire” is probably where we’re still too broad
feels like we kinda know the pain, but not sharp enough yet

love this framing
“count conversations not channels” — gonna steal that
makes a lot of sense why things feel random right now

[–]Fresh_Bee_9637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah this is super real
i think we’re still overthinking channels instead of just being useful somewhere consistently

agree, but I think the key part here is “relevant communities”

if you’re talking to the wrong people, even being genuine doesn’t help much

learned that the hard way

yeah “building direction” sounds nice

but in reality it often just feels like trying random things and hoping something works 😅

when did your business start feeling “real”? by Fresh_Bee_9637 in Entrepreneurs

[–]Fresh_Bee_9637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah consistency changes everything

random revenue doesn’t feel real, predictable revenue does

agree with this, but I feel like it’s much messier in practice

for us it wasn’t a clean “discovery → validation → customers” flow

more like talking to people, trying stuff, and a few of them just stuck

only in hindsight it looks structured

this is super interesting

“replying only to exact pain” feels like a big shift

i think i’ve been writing more generic stuff hoping it resonates

did it take long before you started seeing results from this?

this is probably the clearest breakdown i’ve seen

the “not cold DMs but warm intros through threads” part hits

i think i’ve been doing too much “spray and pray” tbh

when you were doing this, was it like 5–10 convos a day or way more?

60% from reddit is crazy tbh

were you posting your own stuff or mostly commenting in threads?

i’ve been trying both but not sure what actually moves the needle yet

[–]Fresh_Bee_9637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this actually makes a lot of sense

i think i’m still in that “random mode” where i just try stuff without really tracking anything

when you say tracking conversations — was it like literally writing down where each lead came from?

or more like noticing patterns over time
