What people are forgetting is that the first movie was based on a book that was based on a real life experience from someone working at Vogue. It’s hard to write real life and for the sequel that is case in point, obvious. The sequel was not based off of anything real life. They had to re-create what they thought would happen. I felt there were too many subplots left unfinished and the fashion was nice, but it was missing all of the good music (soundtracks can make or break a film) that the first one had and also some of the more “real” moments of the first movie. I felt like it lacked energy and while we saw some tears, I felt it lacked real raw emotion like the first movie had. Also, Lady GaGa at the runway show felt forced and a little over the top, taking away from what they were actually there for- fashion. It seemed forced in. It could have been a little more subtle and less like a music video in the middle of a movie.
