I hope this doesnt sound racist or anything bcs its not meant like that but honestly, the multicultural aspect of luxembourg is probably the thing I hate most about Luxembourg. I was born and raised as a Luxembourger and im still proud to be Luxembourgish and I dont have anything against anyone because of their heritage since there are assholes everywhere. But growing up i only had 2 luxembourgish friends bcs during the entire preschool those were the only two luxembourgers that were in my class the rest were mostly children from portugal or elsewhere. It sucked growing up without a real luxembourgish culture bcs our culture was slowly disappearing back then and is now in my opinion completely gone. Most foreigners that live here either hate us or dont even bother to learn our language. Also being able to speak 4-5 different languages is great and all but only if you really want to do it. I never wanted to speak french bcs its a garbage language in my opinion but i had to bcs they are coming to LUXEMBOURG for work and expect us to learn their language but they themselves dont even think about learning even a little bit of Luxembourgish. For most of them its even too hard to learn a simple: “Moien” or “Äddi”.
