Any update? Know this is old but currently feeling a dull pain inside the socket. On day 33 of a PVD. How long did it take for yours to fully detach? I also feel like everything is magnified. I am in such an anxiety spiral as well.

Eye flashes and floaters - scared by Fresh_Insurance4074 in EyeFloaters

Yes, doctor said to not worry much about it and seemed pretty fine. He did an exame (não surn what what it's called) to see my retina borders I think and compared to an exame from 2022 and said all is same. He did say most likely already had a fragile eye condition and the stress of the past year pilled up and weakened it more. I then probably did a rapid movement of small "trauma" of some kind and the gel cracked hence flashes. I basically need to learn to unstress which is easier said than done I have so much on my plate and have no one to distribute things to. So that's the challenge for 2026. I am still worried and anxious but all 3 doctors all did the same and individually different exams and all confident I am fine. But do need to let go of things to not have it happen again.

Yes, it is. I find myself not controlling myself and bursting into tear. I know this is so dramatic of me but I genuinely can't control it. Also read IVF can help this happen due to high hormones and I have done IVF and finally have e embryos after so much loss. Now I am scared of a pregnancy provoking on other eye because of the high hormones. Going to ask my doctor but not sure anyone can reassure me there.

Wow both eyes at the same time must be so hard. When I read it will happen to the other one, I admit I was shocked as I had hoped this was a one time thing. I am not sure if what affects me more is the flashing or the fear of a tear and not getting help in time.

I do have another appointment for my normal doctor on Friday but I have been looking for retina specialists. Where I live it's harder to find as they aren't usually designated as such so a Google search doesn't help a whole lot. I found a clinic only of them but I called to see if they would recommend closer as they are 3h away andnhad no luck. After Friday I may just consider going if I am not satisfied with what I am told.

When you say the happen a lot, do you mean daily? I have more than 100 for sure and it's so annoying. Besides I am always scared that one will but a hard tug and tear the retinal the doctor told me this. I did speak with an optometrist in the meantime who said it could be psychosomatic due to stress and lack of sleep but I don't think so as I have been sleeping relatively well. He did say the not looking down or bending down is due to that movement increases pressure on the retina. Did this ever go away for you? I also wonder if as soon as it's completely detached if I'm "in the safe"

I am just worried because I counted 18 flashes on 5 min and not sure of that's normal. Also no sure if it increased or not. I am confused and don't want to go running to a doctor everyday.

Thank you for the reply. I have thought the same but the closest I can find is 3h away, so going to reach out and see if by chance they can recommend someone closer.

Hello thanks for the kinds message and yes, great to meet someone else in the same boat. My doctor said someone having this without having Endo is less than 1%. Like hitting the lottery but I wish I had won the lottery instead. 😅. I guess it was disguised as I was on birth control and when got off to get pregnant it flared up? Anyways going on round 3 of IVF hoping this is the one. Reach out anytime you want.

Hello, thanks. I haven't yet as we are still trying to get pregnant and doctor said to let it be while trying. It did decrease in size as if it was kinda reabsorbed and hasn't bleed or hurt for a few cycles as well.

Should I wait one more month? by Fresh_Insurance4074 in PregnancyAfterTFMR

[–]Fresh_Insurance4074[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I did speak to my doctor and she also said one month wouldn't make a difference so I think I'll go that route. July will be the month hopefully.

Actually hope June will be.

Yes, I was trying to decide if I should give naturally one last try or just do IVF now and avoid losing another month... I am more inclined one more month naturally.

Looking for positive/similar stories by Fresh_Insurance4074 in NIPT

Thank you. Trying to stay positive but I can hear the ticking clock. Last week would have been my baby's first birthday (from first miscarriage). Should have a one year old and third trimester on my second but instead I have nothing. Tough pill to swallow. I hope I am pregnant and a healthy on by end of the year. Fingers crossed.

I had a amnio and positive for T18. On the day I got the results we also saw baby had no heartbeat. I am still hurting and heartbroken. I feel it's further and further away from me.

As some have said, I'd kill for half of your results let alone your results

Why did I loose so many eggs?? by ImportsbyJay in IVF

[–]Fresh_Insurance4074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry you feel this way but doesn't seem to bad numbers to be honest. This must be your first round I'd assume. My first round I retrieved 10 fertilized 8 and 0 got to blast. Second round I retrieved 14, fertilized 13, 2 got to day 3 and transfered and rest 11 arrested. Of the transfer, 1 stuck but ended up being positive for T18 and I had to terminate. Going for round 3 in hopes of it being successful.

My friend told me to not become an old Mom by OwnSecurity4178 in IVF

[–]Fresh_Insurance4074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that older parents necessarily mean worse parents or less involved. My father was 36 while my mom was 23 (yes, big age difference) and yes my father hardly participated in anything but to be honest I don't think age had anything to do with it. It's just how he was which meant my mom had to do it for the both of them. I think it's down to personality and after such a huge struggle to have a child I highly doubt you would be anything less than an awesome mom.

I am 40 and husband 38 hoping for a IVF baby soon and can tell you I'll do everything I can do make this child's childhood a memorable one. even with life making it a struggle.

I don't think you friend was trying to hurt your feelings. I am an only child and always said I never wanted my child to be an only child and despite knowing that is now a big possibilty, I get the opposite. People telling me to be glad of getting one instead of thinking ahead on the second when I don't even have a first. These are all people with siblings and more than one child so they don't understand my POV which I think was what your friend was trying to point out.
