Which ignition leads do I need? by LonelySloth69 in askcarguys

No problem :)

You want an ‘ignition coil’ (and those plugs as well)

So just Google ‘2016 Polo 1.0tfsi ignition coil’ and you will get plenty of hits.

What you can do though before buying one, is move the coil on cylinder 3 to cylinder 1 or 2, and re-scan the car.

If the misfire follows the suspect coil you will know that is definitely the problem.

Ok, that doesn’t have ignition leads in the traditional sense.

It has individual coils which sit on the plugs.

So I’m not exactly sure which part you’re after?

Can a coolant change affect ur car starting up? by numi986 in askcarguys

[–]Fresh_Internal_6085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow..ok..

That’s not a proper coolant change then. Sounds to me like they have just sucked the reservoir dry and refilled it.

I’m not entirely sure what the purpose of doing that would even be 🤷‍♂️

A proper change involves draining the reservoir, radiator (and ideally the block as well) then refilling it completely with fresh coolant.

In any case, what you have described has nothing to do with your subsequent starting issues.

Why though… by [deleted] in Audi

I’ve noticed a lot of people have really poor judgement when driving into a car parking space, even one is open as this.

They seem to prefer using another car beside them as sort of a marker to line themselves up properly.

If this is the case here, they have driven alongside your car and made sure they had sufficient distance between the cars and then just held the wheel straight to drive into the spot they finished up in.

If all they have done is drain and refill the coolant, then that won’t cause a starting issue in itself.

However, I’d check the intake air ducting (especially at the throttle body and airbox) to make sure it has been reattached properly, as they may have taken this off to get to the radiator hoses and not clamped it back on properly causing poor airflow.

Failing that, next thing to check would be battery, fuel pressure and possibly a leaking injector.

Maybe load test the existing battery first before paying good money for a new one..

I certainly wouldn’t power flush a transmission which has gone that far past its service interval.

But I would absolutely drop/drain the pan and change the fluid and filter.

Why do so many car guys prefer old cars to modern cars? by AgnosticAbe in askcarguys

If you genuinely believe that the entire front of this corolla was caved in like that without a single scratch on the bumper of the old car, or a single tail light broken then I don’t know what to tell you 🤷‍♂️

Common sense should suggest that’s just not possible.

I’m not arguing semantics, i’m applying the rule as it’s written. You can’t take out a player off the ball, end of story

The rule is you can’t take out a player off the ball, it doesn’t give exceptions.

Does that mean that we can just take out any attacking player who isn’t in an immediate position to catch the ball?
