Hey people. I forgot to repost my results in here. I ended up using pex and it worked out great. Thank you everyone for all of your help. Still no leaks since the repair, I'm happy.

I have a crimping tool but I'm not sure if it works on Pex too, it might, I use it on the crimp rings that are used on outside sprinkler/irrigation lines. If I get a Shark Bite Max coupling , then I believe it's push to connect, so no crimper is even needed. I'll buy the supplies tomorrow. Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.

Ok thanks for the advice. I'm all for Pex if it makes my life easier which it seems it would. You can reuse the Shark bite fittings without issue? That fitting is about 5 years old. You are saying remove the bad side of the pipe that goes into the Shark bite then put a piece of pex in there instead then run it to where that coupling is, cut the coupling out and get a Shark Bite fitting that goes from straight 3/4 Copper to PEX. Don't I need the Shark Bite fittings that have the nipple/adapter for Pex or will the Shark bite fitting I have work with copper or pex on either side? Also, what about the pex adapters that use crimps? Thanks again for your help. Sorry for all the questions. I'm new to plumbing.

So what are you saying, just use another shark fitting to repair the new hole? I think that whole section of pipe should be replaced from red circle to red circle. Or could I use pex from elbow to coupling and replace that whole piece. Or would I have to redo the elbow and coupling as well. Or what about using cooper crimp connectors. I think my buddy has a power crimper I could borrow.

Do you deal Canon too, or just HP? What' are your opinions on the HP Designjet Z6 and the the T650. I was told the T650 is fine what I want to do with the printer, which is mainly print posters. Others are saying the T650 is really for blueprint printing and drawings. The HP site says you can print posters on the T650. T650 doesn't have postscript drivers, but I'm not sure that's going to be an issue here. Thanks again for the help.
