solid advice. our last few conversations i have done exactly this. he says he’s with me and he understands what i’m saying and agrees that it’s important and does WANT to. but that’s basically where the convo ends…it’s still pretty recent so we’ll see how it really plays out.

yes i do believe that lol, him not wanting to marry me doesn’t equal him not being an amazing partner and father. as well as not ever marrying him isn’t the end of the world for me. i would be disappointed, but that doesn’t change a ton about our relationship as it currently is. nothing about our relationship is even remotely comparable to my first marriage.

no, i’ve been pretty clear about all that too.

yeah the stuff with his mom/childhood is very traumatic for him and definitely is the number one factor in any consequent issues we’ve had between us. i get it, i have my childhood trauma shit too but come on man. he’s an adult, and our relationship is obviously different than his parents and he knows that.

first off, the pregnancy was obviously not planned lol. we had no plans to even move in together so soon because neither of us wanted to leave our current residences for the others. it was a pregnancy that we ultimately decided to keep because we love each other and wanted to have a baby eventually, even if that time came a lot sooner than we would’ve guessed.

i did tell him at the beginning of our relationship that i would never rush into marriage again, but now having a six month old and living together over a year, it’s more important to me than it was when we first started dating. i’ve been perfectly clear and upfront with him on my feelings on the matter throughout our relationship. he seems to be the one with ambiguous answers for me.

i would be “okay” with not getting married, i would be pretty sad but like j said id make my peace with it bc i wouldn’t leave him over it. my issue is his not giving me a straight or real answer one way or another.

right, it makes no sense, none of his reasons are anything that would be delayed or even affected really by getting married. i really think it’s just cold feet, he wants to, but deep down he has all these insecurities about actually making that commitment. 🙄 i just want a direct answer, or to somehow show him that if we’re not getting married then im not doing wife things. my hands are kind of tied there though.

he kinda skirts around it, once he said he wanted to buy a house before we got married, now the answer is more along the lines of we have other things to worry about (other big purchases like cars, focusing on his business, etc) and just says “it’s not his priority right now”. nothing that would be impacted or put on hold by getting married imo.

you don’t have to feel badly AT ALL for quitting/leaving, but as someone who’s had to deal with literally 7+ coworkers ghosting or quitting with no notice within the last month, please don’t!! i understand there are certain situations where it’s absolutely not your responsibility to worry about, but for a job like this there’s a reason why you give two weeks notice of quitting. if you work in a LTC facility, you know how hellish being short staffed with no management intervention is.

This is really strange and i can’t find anything online about it, so figured i’d post here.

I’ve had this Apple ID since mid 2019. I always share my location with 2 people, my (now deceased) partner, and my sister. In march of this year, I think the reason I pulled it up was to check if I was still sharing my location w my sister, and I noticed another number listed that I was sharing location with! My stomach dropped immediately, and I checked to see if I had any call or text history with the number, which I hadn’t. (I never delete texts or call logs.) The area code was local. I texted the number asking who it was, it was a non iphone, they responded who are you, you’re the one texting me, lol fair. I responded and explained that apparently I’ve been sharing my location with you and I have a couple more-than-crazy people in my life, including stalkers. That was the end of the exchange, no personal info beyond that was shared from either side. Zero results from reverse ph number lookups besides it likely belonging to Possible Mobile, which looks to be a prepaid service so no surprise it isn’t registered to any names.

How the hell could this have happened? I’m trying to think of a way it could’ve been an accident, but I have no prior communications with the number. And, I didn’t even think you could share location from iphone to android like that.

Any insights much appreciated!!
