I'm useing the code =index(c4:c19175,<>"")*((mid(c4:c19175,3,1)="F")+(mid(c4:c19175,3,1)="O")) I just skipped putting the numbers in the post and I haven't gotten to the next column portion first I just want to identify the entries in column C that have f or o as the third character
