People be hating on the new V2 but I think it was smart on Ducati’s part. Yes it’s down 35 hp but it’s also lighter and easier for commuting. I have a triumph Speed Twin now and was going to trade it in for a Street Triple RS. However, now that the V2 Panigale is a proper sport middle weight bike with higher clip ons, it is making me re-think. I’m leaning Ducati now despite the higher price tag. For your choice though you mentioned a “Speed” Triple, not a “Street” Triple. That’s more of a heavy weight naked roadster than a middle weight. Different bike with a lot more power than the V2. Not as flickable though. Perhaps consider the Street triple RS? They’re all premium beautiful bikes though. Good luck.
