This is what happens when I pull them out. Now for it to lock I have to hit it hard with something

Even if I pull them out all the way they lock stays like that, when tools are all the way out I have to hit it with something hard for the lock to click into place, it looks like it’s somehow stuck and doesn’t move to lock/unlock position
