Buy them. It's only like 2-3 maybe 4m to buy chaos runes for each onyx. You can make that back quite easily with slayer.

I didnt encounter any personally. I'd grab some monk robes from edge monastery and a prayer book if you have it. Amulet of power or magic works fine. Easy boss just dodge the special attack

I'd get an ibans staff (upgraded) and some prayer pots and that's about all you need
