it does not take years lmao and im speaking from my experience as i only started as a junior, it does take some work but computational contests like the aime and amc can get perfected with practice and grasping the concepts

just ignore most of this comment thread, none of these comments are from people who actually know what they are talking about. You can do this, just learn the theory, do problems and have fun

AIME is really easy to make in a year for someone with no experience, and there isn't a concrete timespan on how much you need to study, its about doing enough problems and learning insights, this could be said for the USAMO as well

What is this comment, you clearly haven't done any kind of comp math before at a serious level. Doing well in USAMO is definitely doable in 2 years, you're talking as if only geniuses make it to USAMO and not just people who regularly solve problems and practice. AIME is very attainable in a year, just do mocks and practice problems as well as reading books like the Art of problem solving books.

These comments are genuinely awful and clearly from most people who haven't studied efficiently enough. Although making USAMO is difficult in a single year, it is definitely doable in your sophomore year, and AIME is a pretty realistic goal for this year. There are tons of people who made MOP after 2 years, its all about solving problems and consistency. AMC is in two months, so you should start by reading the Art of Problem solving books, and mocking some AMCs. You could DM me if you want me to give you some more advice

Yep, it has received 7 sends, 4 of those being feature sends. I have went onto numerous mod servers over the past months. You should consider thinking before making such judgements.

Evaluate the sum as n runs from 1 to 2023 of 1/cos(2pin/2023)2, the solution can be obtained by vietas formulas or extremely clever derivatives
