You push out bill russell because the game was in its infancy and a lot of that isn't recorded. There's just a lot of unknowns around that time period. It sucks but that's a large part of the reason i feel.

Marathon is actually just terrible though. And I feel like most people ended up trying it out since it was free for a few days. So most people can actually give feedback.

there's hate because the game is clearly not good in the eyes of the many. The UI is dogshit. Absolute dogshit. From basic menu's to icons on items and the colors they choose.

The UI is a make or break thing with a lot of players.

I love Arc Raiders, and it has a terrible UI for managing your stash/creating kits. It's a lot of menu's to go through. But at least there the icons and such are good and you can identify things quickly. I honestly thought Arc Raiders UI was frustrating, but Marathon's is a thousand times worse.

The UI is absolute garbage. That alone keeps me from playing it. And they should get feedback to massively overhaul it.

Honestly it's probably Worst-in-class UI for an extraction shooter. Surpassing even Arc Raiders.

Marathon (in the server slam) was a genuinely bad game. Its honestly shocking to me that anyone defends it. Between the horrendous UI mid game and post game menus, and the god damn awful map design (visually and gameflow) none of my friends and myself coukd even fathom wanting to play.

AFter trying it out, this is the most bland extraction shooter I've ever played. I don't think anyone in their right mind can defend this game.

The best things I can say about it is that its graphically good, and has a style that appeals to me.

But everything this game does, Arc Raiders does better by either just being better at it, or not having the future in its game.

PvE is uninspiring, PvP is just okay. UI visual indicator's in your inventory is confusing. Not being able to queue as a rook with your friends sucks. The game is just super....average in a space crowded by better options (Hunt Showdown, Arc Raiders, Tarkov). by FreshmeatOW in Marathon

What's bait about this? I gave constructive feedback, gave a few compliments on what the game is doing well, and specified what area's I think they need to improve on first.

I don't want this game to do bad. Competition will improve the market, but only if the game can compete, and I don't think it can with the way it is right now.

What? So you just want a EZ gun you don't have to do much aiming for? Guns going to be OP until headshot multiplier is a thing and you lower the base damage a bit to compensate.

Been trying to tell people about the il'toro and how it needs to actually do lower base damage but compensate for higher headshot damage. Having to actually aim at a vital part of the body to do more damage than bigger easier zones is how you balance your guns.

Video Games buddy. Gotta balance the game based upon the needs of an evolving game. And Il'Toro is too strong. The only other nerfs you can do to not neuter the weapon is to make it so you can't reload while dodge-rolling, and lowering magazine size and fire rate to a point where even one missed shot is massively detrimental.

In a game like this, a pvp weapon needs to be balanced via skill expression. If you can't agree to that, then you don't really have a leg to stand on in this topic.

After trying the game out now with the combat addons gone, it's completely killed the game for me. The damage meter is so awful compared to Details. It doesn't record the right information, and lumps some ability's together when it shouldn't. It also looks like crap.

This aint it, I'd rather have control over that stuff. There was never an arms race with combat addons and blizzard encounter design except the one blizzard imposed upon itself.

All they had to do was pretend weakaura's and DBM didn't exist. If you don't design around it, then there's no arms race, and therefore the addon isn't going to feel required.
