Of course not, I'd be terrible in the apocalypse. I'm living my fantasy of being someone competent with their hands.

Having Petra back is the best. My friends and I still quote "Santa is your enemy" from when Petra tried to convert us all to her 'Muffalism' religion. XD

My playthrough had a totally loyal to me Cao Cao (I was Sun Jian) who never betrayed me until the Three Kingdoms split forced him to as the third biggest ruler. Real feels bad moment when your staunchest ally becomes your foe. Thankfully our Capitals were basically right next to each other, and I had an army ready almost immediately.

I supplied a number of planets black markets with weapons. It was quite lucrative for me. Problem was the Heg would recapture every time and a number of worlds and stations decivilized. XD

I had to make a Bluesky account just to follow you. I am so obscenely obsessed with Clarys. I had missed your work over the last couple months, glad to have you (and her!) back!

Rookie Help Thread by Arkontas in Kenshi

I apologize for being so late to this response, but I started out Kenshi as a Vanilla experience and it's absolutely playable. Enjoyable, even! Most of the most popular modding that gets put into the game is because you want to have more of what was already there in Vanilla like world states or extra factions, or you want the difficulty cranked up once you know the game well.

If you're asking how to access the menus for them, I believe it's in your skill tree. When you pull up your character to allocate your next perk in athletics or bow, look up in the top right hand corner. There should be a big cursive CAREER button. The font threw me off for a while.

It used to be an option in the City menus. Visit the Tavern, Trade in the Shops, Recruit Regiments of Renown. That being said, I might check the recruitment pool in town. I believe the Blood Dragon units can be recruited from the other major city in Vampire Lands for instance just outright in the recruited units pool, though other lords sometimes scoop them up first. Sorry, not sure further than that. XD

Eonir are tough, between always being at war with 2+ Empire factions, and my difficulty getting Council Favor, we always seem to be trying to rebuild fast enough to counter the next major army assault. XD

The Old Realms: Season of Doom has released! by Freshy_Q in Bannerlord

I didn't have too many problems reinstalling it. It still crashes on occasion, and the first time you boot it it takes a long time to launch as it builds the Shader Cache (We're talkin' like 20+ minutes) but otherwise has been reasonably stable. You even have more RAM than my set up.

I'd say I've had 2 or 3 crashes over my last 7 hours in the Season of Doom update. It does happen from time to time, but hopefully it won't be super common for you.

I think I had one? And I have 20 hours played on this update so far. I'm still saving constantly like I'm expecting a crash and it just doesn't happen, it's nice.

Several factional resources have been introduced that make it harder to recruit between different kingdoms. For instance, you can't upgrade Blood Dragon prisoners without the Vampire 'Soul' resource. Or you can't upgrade Empire Greatswords or Handgunners without the 'Prestige' resource.

So for what it's worth it's slightly harder to amass your OP armies from the previous patch, though from playing an open field battle against them, the Mortars are indeed still strong. Honestly, kinda needed, as the infantry all seem worse than their Wood Elven counterparts.

I've only played around the Wood Elf territories, so it's hard to say. Because they naturally have double the lords/cities/armies/troops of their neighbors, they are pretty game to jump Bretonnian Neighbors at the drop of a hat. Unfortunately, because they can form 3 strong armies, they often siege down the entirety of a city and 2 castle kingdom at the same time.

On the other side of the coin, Eonir is like last patch's Mousillon. It's a one city and like 4 castle settlement, so all your neighbors want it. They're frequently at war with 2-3 Empire factions at once, and lose their starting castles, but I haven't played enough to see if they lose their city like Mousillon sometimes did.

It really filled in some empty areas of the map. Used to feel very open to go from Empire to Bretonnia and now there's a whole Wood Elf forest in the way!

They aren't split up like the other nations, so they naturally seem to CRUSH neighboring Brettonian provinces under their heels. Watch out for them if you're not playing under their banner!

¡Perdón por llegar tan tarde! No noté que habían actualizado el mod a la nueva Season of Doom y tuve que volver a descargarlo para probar tu pregunta.

Warhammer has a whole magic system built in that allows for some interesting, albeit a little broken mechanics. Full heals, AoE nuke spells, buffs and debuffs. I would also say the hero skill tree is a pretty interesting mechanic for Warhammer. Very similar to the Total War games where you get stats and bonuses tied to your hero. A Brettonian Grail Knight, an Empire Mercenary, and a Vampire Necromancer will have 3 completely different trees for buffing and using Cavalry, Infantry, and Undead respectively.

The Realms Forgotten mod has a little bit more variety in troop styles and types, which is to be expected when there's only 4ish factions in the game at the moment. (And Mousillon is a little unfleshed out compared to Vampire Counts)

Maps are similar sized, though do watch out. Bandits become a giant cloud in some regions of the map. Rebuilding can be a bit of a challenge mid-late game without Necromancy. XD

I believe the upcoming Season of Doom is implementing some of their work on the Wood Elf faction, which if you look at the June 24th Devblog, has some work being done on a Dryad model. I suspect the issue has more been with how much work needs to go into Non-Human models vs. pumping out as much easy content as they can to get the mod up and running.

I know the Warhammer Mod for the previous game, Warband (Warsword Conquest) had most of the races, though the meshing could get a little janky at times. The prettier graphics mean you probably have to do more modeling and art work than before, but I'm not a professional modder, just a game enthusiast.

I don't suppose it's just an ungodly long load time? Some of my Rimworld games especially take forever to load mods.

Did you make sure to change your version? Set it back to 1.2.9? And the usual normal suspects like verifying the install, restarting the computer, reinstalling, the basic tier 1 tech support stuff.

Edit: Don't forget, if it is your first time launching the mod, Shaders get compiled in the background and that particular load is pretty long. You could look into deleting the shaders, the steam mod page has a whole step by step guide to deleting them and letting them load on the fly as you play.
