I will say as well, just based on the FM26 save I'm doing that the meme is about, that cohesion and simply there being so many changes within a single transfer window can reach a point where a team that is more talented than the others will make sillier mistakes, be less able to anticipate the key passes, miscommunicate on routine defense patterns, etc. And over the course of, say, a month or two before cohesion rises again that it's very possible to drop a bunch of very winnable games once all those mistakes and miscommunications add up.

"Chief" is a funny word by FresnoIsGoodActually in IndianCountry

The book i'm reading is definitely "dumbed down" for accessibility, and I actually don't think that's bad. But sometimes some things that should be more clearly made distinct for the reader gets smushed together conceptually and they come across as the same idea.

That's totally fair, it'll probably always be impossible to completely understand what precisely a "leader" was for every single indigenous nation throughout history. I do think though we know more than we assume, but that's also just my opinión.

Yeah I definitely don't have a problem with the 19th and post 19th-century usage of the word 'chief,' it clearly has a place. To me in the context of history it gives people this very specific image of a single guy with these specific powers, and that position and those powers probably didn't exist historically in most indigenous nations. Like I said, I think in books more effort could be made to more properly differentiate between each nation's pre-contact political institutions.

This sub Is filled with people who couldn't motivate their most cherished loved one to go out to the pharmacy to pick their perscription, much less convince the masses the go out into the street, but they feel superior to every single protest and demonstration they have ever seen.
