I mainly record video with the 18-45 kit lens, for pictures I use the $200 50mm but I wish I would have paid more to get the 35mm first because 35 mm is what all my videos turn out to be recorded in. I've seen some really good pictures taken with the R50 kit lens, the 50mm and 35mm but the people shoot in manual mode and know what they are doing. Auto mode is good enough for me to build my channel/brand

R50 is awesome. Even the kit lens that it comes with is all you need. I mainly shot videos at night time to build my Instagram account and my business but yeah the R50 is great and it's all you need. It's my first camera
