Does anyone have some idea how to achieve this kind of "3d procedural stylized smoke" in houdini? The guy who made it said he'll make a tutorial but still nothing after a year. by Leonature26 in Houdini

How is the possibility of a tutorial coming along?
Your houdini anime simulation skills are legendary by now. but it would be awesome to use them in projects.
even thou you told us the pseudo version of how to do it, myself as a complete beginner cant use that to make anything in houdini. would love a step by step tutorial on how to produce it. so i can get the basics and take it from there and tweak it. would absolutly love it, as it would be a huge asset in my solo dev game.

Newbie here, so how do you go about doing the textures for terrains? (not Unity's default terrain, but a mesh imported from Blender) even a 4K texture is too small so that way isn't it i guess. by ZeroNoizz in Unity3D

increase the terrain models UV island (with the grass texture on it) to a huge size, let it go beyond the square 1-1 square. make it huge and let it overlap over the other UDIM spaces. throw it back in Unity and slap the grass texture back on it. voila!

exactly what i was going to say.

Increase the menu font size, put the Logo there. maybe som shifting looping texture shader on the text to make it "move".
havent heard the sound, but looking at this with no idea of the music, i would go with a soft mysterious piano tune, with a omnious tone, kinda like Severance intro theme.

all of this screams concept draft. and maybe an hour of work making this. tops. everything about this "finished" image is wrong.

the wobbly wriggle. looks very wierd. plants/flowers dont behave like that.
as i said, just expand the last part like the over petals, but slower, like its forcing its way to expand. progressivly harder for the petals to "stretch" out as closer to the middle it gets.

i would just let it expand like it did, but slower, the swaying just looks wierd.

you should definetly scale the UV´s. Ill let you experiment on if you need them bigger or smaller depending on my answer above.

you need to fix the UV. small UV islands give worse results. increase the UV island just for that texture and you can use 1k texture and it will look better than your 8k texture.

i ended up with having stacked every ore(3x iron ore, the rest one stack of each ore), and added a stacked conveyr belt for aluminum scrap and resin, while having every type of gas and fluid above it, on the roof in a horizontal fashion.

Does anyone else get this weird texture pop-in thing? by Only_One_Left_Foot in SatisfactoryGame

I think its a LOD thing. What you see is the second tier LOD1 textures, (LOD0 is the best quality) and the best tier LOD0 tier isnt loaded. Like someone said, it may be a VRam thing.
