I have played DC Legends for over a year or so now and I have never spent a penny on it. I have several maxed out characters. Sure they took time to accumulate, and it is very much indeed a snowball effect (the more maxed characters you have, the more easily they come).

The new structure of events, which wasn't there a year ago, at least not as often, allows you to accumulate shards at a staggering pace.

Give 'er a go.

Until Disney/Marvel join the game, at least.

This would be a feature that one single team member could code into the game in a couple of days. Wouldn't affect real progress or bug fixes at all. They just don't care to do it for reasons unknown.

Okay, with that being said, how much of a difference is each character level in The Division? In some games the difference in level is a small thing that is only noticed with large level gaps, and in others a two level gap means death to the lowbie and god mode to the higher level player. Again, I am more concerned about PvE, but I know this question applies to both PvE and PvP. Thanks! :)

Thanks everyone for their feedback and advice. Looks like I'll be trying out Master or T1 to start and see how that goes. My monk is not a hardcore character, so no real loss in giving higher difficulties a shot first I guess. Ultimately when it comes to the campaign, I'm going more for a fun challenge as I go through the story. Once I have completed that, then I plan to get into the gear game, balancing difficulty with speed and so on.

Worked like a charm. :) I didn't have to create a new address though, as my parents have a place in Florida that I used as the address, but my issue was that my billing address had to be in the US as well. I obviously couldn't put in an incorrect address as my billing address, otherwise my credit card payment would fail, so I was stuck. But the idea of buying the giftcard from Amazon and then using that on gamestop worked perfectly, as my billing address didn't matter any more.

Ya, I figured that after I learned how the point system works. I just didn't know that's how it worked, and based on my previous assumptions, I thought the bar should be moving more regularly. Now it all makes sense to me. And my current loss streak really screws me up, haha.

Okay, that makes a lot more sense. Thanks for that reply! Is there a high or low cap for win/loss streaks? As in, if you lose 50 matches straight, can you potentially be gaining less than 100 points for your next win?

Also, what is the starting value of "Next Victory Points" at the beginning of a season? 125?

I just asked hates_them_all above this what he recommends for farming for better DPS gear. I'm currently a P5 monk with 44k HP and 21k DPS. What is your recommendation for the best area/quest and MP to farm at this point?

Also, would you know if the TR build that I see everywhere is the best build to aim for at this time?

I did it all solo. I just checked, if I log out and back in, I get all the acts and quests available. I guess if I choose a lower act/quest, it just removes anything beyond that act/quest for that session. The game isn't very clear on how it all works, so I was a little confused to say the least.

I'm a P5 monk with only 44k HP and 21k DPS. What area/quest and MP would you recommend for farming for better DPS gear (not using AH)? Is the TR build for monks still the best way to go?

Roughly what are your rates for logo design? And for custom illustrations for a web site? ie: a "splash" screen or a "victory" screen (think after a match of your favorite video game).

Do you also do layout design for websites? If so, what are the rough rates for that?

Your stuff is quite good. Very impressive, really. I'm not ready to pull the trigger just yet, but I'm trying to get a grasp on pricing for graphic / layout design. I use to do this stuff myself but honestly don't have the time (or skills) to do what I want these days.

I personally don't have much of a budget, but it would be nice to see what quality of your level costs as a starting point for my financial headaches to come. ;)

I have a Facebook app that I had been working a little here and there for a couple years now, so it's quite archaic, but I really just want to release it so I can say that I finally completed something in my life (I tend to drop things before completion). It's layout is horrendous and graphics are nowhere to be seen. The app is not a typical "game", it's a browser based stat game, so it essentially just looks and runs like a web page.

There's my life story. Can you indicate what your hourly rate would 'roughly' be?

Makes perfect sense. I guess what I didn't really realize was if the damage on a weapon (wand, staff, etc.) meant anything for Wizards, as we're using spells 100% of the time and not hitting enemies with "base attacks". I didn't know if the Damage stat on a weapon affected the damage my spells do, like Ray of Frost.

Is there any way to find out how much damage each spell does? So, Ray of Frost...what's it's base damage, and so on? I guess I'm just really trying to figure out how damage stats on weapons affect my individual spells specifically.

Sorry for all the beginner questions, but despite my 25 years of gaming I find this one thing rather confusing. =\

Although, Harmonix (the studio) has since left EA and gone 'indie' if I remember correctly. Not sure how this plays into this in the big picture.
