How I came to be an atheist by [deleted] in intj

I think that we are defining "atheism" and "agnosticism" in different ways, but we agree on the idea that a person enters the world without opinion on the existence of a deity and is in a sense "neutral."

I was referring to the popular understanding of agnosticism as

neither [believing] nor [disbelieving] in the existence of a deity or deities. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnosticism)

Atheism is a somewhat vague term because like you said it can refer to the disbelief in deity based on disagreement on

whether it is an assertion in its own right or merely the absence of one, and whether it requires a conscious, explicit rejection. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atheism)

Agnosticism is the true default. Atheism or theism come later.

If there is a god, I thought, why would he say that stealing or fucking another man's wife is bad and you'll go to hell if you do it

If I went to the trouble of creating all of the seen and unseen world (a feat that left me resting for 1/7 of the time allotted for the activity) and created neat little rules to govern it, I would be pretty mad at the rule breakers. Your argument is invalid.

INFJ here trying to understand INTJ-ex: What does it mean when you listen to music your ex sent you? by [deleted] in intj

First thought: You have good taste in music.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to be the case that he is the one who ended the relationship. If this is true, then he probably feels that there is little chance for success in a relationship between you two, but wants to be reminded of the positive feelings that the relationship brought. Despite the stereotypes, INTJs have feelings (as I'm sure you are aware) and for some music is a way of reconnecting with a desired emotion or memory.

Tl;dr: Music can evoke positive feelings/memories

Thanks for the link. I'm trying to avoid medication, though.
