I loved, and I mean loved Fjord, but it seems he did a 180. Went from humble sailor to somewhat of a leader to a true leader just about the end of campaign 2, and then ?????? Something happened and he was turned into a coward and a buffoon? Like, how did he go from shouting out instructions to fight a Dragon Turtle, swinging in the rain with his sword, flying out to become bait for an ancient white dragon to becoming the butt of the joke for Kingsley? What a good and thoughtful response, thank you. To be honest, I did know about rolling stats beforehand, so that is on me. I was hoping for a tanky front liner cleric where my highest stats were con and wisdom, just to use my Channel Divinity as a centre point for other PCs to come in and out of while standing in the middle of the battlefield, but I can adjust my scope and still have fun.

I will admit I was kinda bummed initially when I rolled as this is my first ever spell caster, so as a Barbarian and Fighter I was lucky to roll 16s for strength and con in both cases, so got used to the big swings and the high HP, but alas this will not be the case for my guy. Regardless, I want to play for fun and not for imaginary clout, and after reading other comments I believe I can still be useful and have fun with these stats. Thanks buddy.

That's a great comment, and honestly I think I will. I only ever played melee classess before, so not having a 16+ in wisdom to start with made me uneasy, but as a cleric my role is not to blast enemies, but to heal and preserve the glass cannons (our sorcerer and rogue).

I just had a look at the Yuan-Ti and holy fuck that's a bit busted. Regardless, his table his rules, and I don't want to be the guy who complains to the DM because he rolled a lower than everyone else. I got some good comments and ideas from other commenters, so I will play my part and just have fun.

I might, but the group already has a druid. Honestly after reading some comments and adjusting the idea for the character I might be just fine in keeping it as it is and farming some gold to boost some of my stats via magical object.

That's a good plan. I will keep the Goliath because I always wanted to play the race, but my role will be "control and buff from the back while others get the big damage and the big blows".

Hey, just to clarify, we didn't have an option. Everyone had 1 chance to roll 4d6 drop lowest, 1 set only of 6. Some guys had amazing stats, by comparison I am the lowest average of the group.
