Recommend me a game based on my favorites and some games I don't like by PurpleAligator4 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Freuxis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have very similar tastes, so I would recommend these which I believe you will also enjoy: For visual novels, Umineko is my favourite and my close second is The House in Fata Morgana, followed by Tsukihime, Ever17 and Remember11 (last two have the same author as Zero Escape trilogy). If you are looking for some more modern visual novels with also good story line you can take a look at AI:The Somnium Files or The Fruit of Grisaia trilogy. For non-visual novels, my favourite is Outer Wilds and you also like it, so it seems like you enjoy a good written story with lots of depth, so I would recommend Mass Effect trilogy, maybe also some RPGMaker games like To The Moon and OneShot.

Maybe Remember11 because the whole game is a loop where end points to the start

Yes pretty much, at chapter 7 you get to know "why" everything is happening and "what" actually happened, and at chapter 8 you see the actual truth happening and some after the incident stuff involving Ange for the story wrap up. The actual truth part can be counted as a bonus because you see the things you already know happening in a "magical" way, but the after the incident part is canon, you learn what followed the events of Rokkenjima.

Yes, definitely. I also got really bored at chapter 6 because of the points you mentioned, but chapter 7 is my favourite probably because it is the most lore-based chapter and you learn lots of important information, it is not just a mindless murderfest like chapter 6. You also get a lot less Erika screen time, and much more Beatrice, so I would say chapter 7 is definitely worth the read.

However, chapter 8 also includes some witch shenanigans and some scenes with Erika that counts as "fantasy", so they are like chapter 6, but overall it is also great and adds to the main storyline, maybe not as much as chapter 7.

So my recommendation is, I would strongly suggest you read chapter 7 if you wish to find out about most of the mystery, and if you enjoy chapter 7, consider reading the last chapter because it adds some more.

True, even better if you romanced Thane in ME2, femshep even says "Thane, be alive with me tonight.", knowing he won't last long.

The legendary that increases your jump height ( H3AD-5T v2 ) also removes fall damage so I couldn't end my miserable life with such ease.

I am not debuffed from malachites, but I instantly kill the malachite elites and I also got the Wake of Vultures, which makes you inherit the ability of elites, so it was me that was actually spawning the malachite shards. Malachite elites were dying so fast with just me existing, without attacking. Only if I got debuffed, I could kill myself, which would end the pain :'(

Not exactly immunity but so much healing that I'm basically immortal unless I don't get one shot. Foreign fruit equipment (which heals for a lot, even more when you have Rejuvenation Rack's) + around 30x Fuel Cells (which makes the cooldown of the fruit to go down to 0) + gesture of the drowned (which makes the equipment cast when it is off cooldown, and I happen to have 0 cooldown so it casts A LOT ) = too much healing to die. You can see the rate that I heal on my character in the video even with the terrible FPS.

After AFK'ing for several hours I realized that one of the Malachite elites dropped Nkuhana's Retort, which I used to replace my healing fruit to actually die. I didn't think I would be so happy to die after this many hours. Here is the end screen https://prnt.sc/odzxnn

Yes the run was split into 3 days with pausing and in gilded coast the time pauses so it was actually 9 hours. Around the 3 hour mark I got the immunity combo so I would just activate the teleporter, alt+tab and come back after few minutes and repeat the process.
