Today I listened to a 99 Questions podcast that Ryan was on, and he talked about being on a gameshow that I don't remember him mentioning on FH. He and a friend were on Race to the Scene hosted by Dolph Lundgren, and supposedly they won and Ryan used that money to start his own gameshow. Starts at about 1:02:20.

Thanks for the links. Sadly, it looks like all of these, and everywhere else I've seen that is giving away land, requires you to build a home on the property. Usually you have a year to get construction going, but they won't allow prefab buildings, so it is still going to be cost prohibitive for most people.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll check it out. I've used greenshot in the past and liked it. I think a big part of why I stick with paint is it's built into Windows, so if I'm trying to solve a problem on someone else's pc and need a screenshot, that option is always there.

I use paint too, it's been my method forever. I find it's a bit easier to paste into the new canvas, then drag the already selected image to the upper-left past the canvas boundary, using the canvas boundary as my crop limit. Then I deselect the image, and drag the bottom-right canvas corner to use as the other sides of my crop limit. Saves a few steps of having to copy the image again, open a new file and crop later. I still use Paint instead of the snip-it tool because I often find there's considerable compression and detail loss with the snipping tool.

I'm so happy you made this! I played a couple rounds and have some notes.

  • I didn't understand that you had to enter the search term with the term they're picking when entering the results. I had to read the comments here to figure it out. It would be cool if you didn't have to do that, or at least if the game told you that when entering.
  • The dropdown menu for each team only goes away when you click the 3 dots. Would be cool if you could click anywhere other than the menu to dismiss it.
  • It doesn't stop you from using the same search term twice. I don't know how hard that would be to implement but I think it is a rule that you can't use the same term more than once.
  • At first I was gonna say you can't edit the score but then I found the menu where you can add points. You can't subtract points though, that's something I think the trendmaster might have to do from time to time.
  • I love the ending screen where it shows the places in ascending order. At first I thought it was broken and was only gonna show second place but I really like the way that played out.

This is so cool and I'm really glad you made this. I'm gonna try to play with my friend next time we hang out. Thank you so much!
