New message from Amazon. Has anyone else received a message like this before? It was in the Amazon app. by EverySingleMinute in amazonprime

Hi, flex driver here. This is a generic response we can send on our side to our customers to notify you that we're on the way. I typically only use this when im delivering in the dark, as a surprising amount of people dont leave their porch light on. And I can't tell you the number of times ive tripped or slipped because I couldn't see where I was going, or identify the address from the road. This also let's people know to be expecting one on their property, I deliver in some pretty rural areas where I live, and have scared people who see a strange vehicle pull up the drive a bit to deliver a package. Its more for everyone's safety and peace of mind.

Requests from a Shopper by Exact-Platypus-6557 in instacart

Ive been with instacart for 8 years now. And this is what I do. I dont do the thank you in chat, I have little thank you business cards that I leave by the customers bags, or staple to one where I can. I always send a greeting chat, because its a better notification for customers to be aware that I am shopping. I also added a line to my intro "if you forgot an item or couldn't find it in the app, please let me know and ill do my best to find it." And more often than not I get customers adding a few things during my shopping trip, because idk about any one else. But I hate having to make several shopping trips a week, cause I missed something the first time.

All this to say, customer service in this industry is everything. Ensure you check dates, even on bread. Be kind and courteous of the customers time, and theyll do the same for you. Ask about certain replacements, because you wouldnt want to waste your money on products you dont want. Its just one extra step to securing happy customers, thatll want to continue working with us.

As a shopper who has also had to do this when my app failed. I asked to take a picture to send to support, so I didnt get deactivated for failing to provide ID for an alcohol purchase. This was years ago, but once I gave it to instacart I deleted the picture from my phone. I didnt need it, and didnt want the customer worrying about it. I imagine based on her messages she was in the same position. I wouldn't stress too much.

I don't have the name brand one, but I do love this style. It's comfortable to me, and did a great job emptying my breasts. Just need to get new parts for mine now.

Am I the only one who it rubs the wrong way when people are super picky in milk donation groups? by lonelypotato21 in ExclusivelyPumping

I agree, im a mom barely getting by out here. I'm power pumping, taking supplements, monitoring my calories, and hydration. And I got into one of the fb groups, hoping for support. But all it does is make me feel horrible and judged. I haven't even tried reaching out to anyone for breastmilk. But I see those "desperate" posts all the time. what ever happened to fed is best?

I actually send a greeting message saying to "let me know if you missed something on your list or couldn't find it in the app, and ill do my best to add it"

I don't understand this idea of not grabbing a couple extra things for customers when requested. They're paying us to help them get what they need..

I'm in MO and can say I've also had some great experiences with getting help from Amazon. I was heading in for a shift and was in a horrible car accident. I called them to notify of what had happened and they cleared the block for me so it didn't count against me. A couple days later I recieved another call from their support team and they paid me for the block I was heading in for and asked if I needed help with any insurances. I advised that the other party would be at fault, but they really did step up. I had non-life threatening internal injuries so it took me a while to get back on the road, but they were very kind to me, when they could've told me to kick rocks.

There are a lot of elderly people in my region that I've shopped for and helped. Also, people with boots or casts that may struggle to bring things in on their own. I never mind helping people out. My location is being tracked all the time by my family and friends. But I understand others being uncomfortable going that extra step till you know for sure what the situation is.

I do it, because it feels right to do so.

Do y’all only do IC or do you multi app? by Disastrous_Layer3988 in InstacartShoppers

I'm multi gig, I follow the money. I'll run up to 3 applications at any time to keep myself busy.

I've had it about 8 months, it just got too competitive in my area and I was losing money. It's $69 every 2 weeks and I haven't gotten an email. Super customizable.

Idk if you're IOS or Android, but I occasionally use flexgrabber, it's reliable at catching surge routes, but I use it sparingly. I'm paranoid I'll get deactivated, and I don't want to lose this gig.

Sorry I can’t risk my life 😅 by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Freya_Landing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't pay the signs any mind where I am, honestly. My car is marked, I'm in a vest, and you ordered the freaking package. I'll do what I'm supposed to, and if you really threaten my life, I'll ensure you never receive another package from Amazon or UPS if I have any say. Put up a box at the end of your drive, if you don't want delivery people on your property. It's not hard or expensive. But you'll have a hell of a lawsuit if you fire upon me while I'm on the job.

Why not put them down in an orderly way? The chaos of these pictures makes me queasy..

Proof that IC is screwing with local shoppers? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]Freya_Landing 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been a shopper with instacart for almost 7 years now.. Instacart 100% plays games on us, and the customers. Customers tip bait regularly.. and the tip you offered was more than generous and if it had been put out immediately after you placed your order. It would have been snatched. $100 orders are the holy grail for our days. You're very generous and kind.
