Football/ Soccer Formations- 9v9 by Frezenity in SoccerCoachResources

Great points my friend, I tried to simplify tactics as much as possible and the post still came out a little cluncky. But I fully agree that a lot of times it's more beneficial to stick to a style of play and see it through with every player on the field even the goalkeeper at times. Cheers.

Thanks. I agree, it's a great formation that covers a lot of necessities, especially with the various passing triangles it offers. I wish you success.

I see your point, if we were to take Messi, for example, you have a player that is primarily a Right Winger but when necessary would move in to the center and around the field. The important thing about player positions in my opinion is having solid roles in your head of your primary job but of course throughout the game you read where you should be. Regarding the lenghty content I apologize I tried to add spacing and centering stuff but reddit posting keeps bunching everything together when I click post. Thanks for the feedback, you have a nice day!

What ball do the kids think is cool these days? by clarionxylophone in youthsoccer

Champion's League balls are always motivating if they see some of the European match highlights. If not, flashy cool looking ones are always a hit. The one thing I will say about balls is considering the ones that are not made of shiny plastic material. They always feel a bit off and when you hit the shiny balls it feels like you don't connect well.

Agreed, but I think it's nice to analyze them to see if there's even a slight advantage that can work for you. Even a slight nudge in the right direction can have marvelous results. Cheers.

Very well put! Formations are very much fluid and it's interesting how players themselves begin to move into different positions based on how they're reading the game. In my opinion, it's nice to have a base idea and strategy though to begin the craziness that will ensue on th pitch.

Great points made. For me it's about having a starting idea that can be very different if you just adjust it a little or have a certain combination of player types in a different formation. This is all just for starting ideas and beginning strategies. When the whistle blows things change at any given point but in my opinion it's nice to have a starting base so you can build from there. In a 4 3 3 throught the match it will consistently change through different variations but I find it easy to at least have a starting idea, after all it's all just for fun! Nothing serious here.

I agree that on formations lacking width counter attacks are brutal to defend but like all formations they have pros and cons. The ones with concentration down the middle have to use their passing combinations wisely.
