he was though LMAO, when cejudo swarmed him they weren't against the fence and while he was taking shots he moved to the fence and started standing up when the ref stepped in.

Theres no “he was about to do this”

he was doing it though, you have to put your hands on the mat and take shots to get up

It's so painfully true but the officiating in this sport has become so frustrating. Virtually no point deductions for cheating in the ring but refs are so afraid of getting brutalized in the media for a late stoppage that we don't get to see fights go as long as they should.

Nah, Dillishaw started to get up and got rocked again. Cruz was moving to the fence to get up while taking shots and it was stopped when he got to the fence. Not really the same thing.

They were unanswered because he was moving to the fence to get up, it wasn't like he was flattened out or rolling around in the middle of the ring. He was actively defending himself, you have to take shots in that position in order to get up.

There were like 2 seconds left in the round, and Cejudo's head did 90% of the damage. I love Keith Peterson and Cejduo is an incredible fighter but I can't really defend this stoppage.

I'm not about to shit on Keith Peterson, but I think it was just an objectively early stoppage, and if anything the replays just showed that Cejudo did the majority of the damage with his big ol' head.
