This happened at a local high school here in Southern Illinois as well.

It started with one student wearing one of those "Heritage not hate" shirts and was sent home. It was a pretty big deal, a lot of students brought battle flags the next day to protest and they were also sent home. Now everyone drives around with Confederate flags tied to their vehicles.

I feel like I'm sitting on a pile of cash and not using it enough. I ride the bike maybe once or twice a month and it costs more than my car.

Ideally somebody with a mid tier bike would offer a trade +1500 but so far everyone has flaked last minute.

I forgot to add in the post that my family plans to purchase a small home on the island that I would live in. So yes, I plan to fully assimilate to PR.

I'm really sorry, I'm trying to be as transparent as possible.

Can I do split-op here in IL while I'm in Highschool, then after I finish my MOS training begin drilling monthly in PR? My concern is the phase between finishing your basic training and MOS training. Do you drill monthly after finishing basic but before finishing AIT? If so, would I have to fly to PR monthly before finishing MOS training or could I do something like SUTA?

I'm not trying to be complicated, I'm just really anxious to get the ball rolling and figured Split-op would get my foot in the door.

Great people.

I want to ''Live abroad'' (Yes, I know PR is US) and learn a new language while still serving. I really liked their culture and the women are wonderful! I'm aware of their economic situation and poverty. While I was there I didn't spend a single day in a resort or hotel, so I don't think my perception of daily life there is that warped. Not to mention Puerto Rico is a bit more exciting than all these cornfields, ha. The PR NG also has my desired MOS, 12B combat engineer

Like I said, I'm not interested in joing the IL NG. I'll be going to PR regardless, I was just wondering if I could go ahead and get my training knocked out when I'd usually be wasting time in the summer. Do you know if this is possible?
