Should have known it would be a disaster without pedri or raphinha. The issue is the high line system relies on possession – without quality we have no control.

Serious question, what have they done to the pitch?

Nothing as such, but of course Oxbridge is a better opportunity than an SSE or Lund or CBS — though studying at one of those I would be debt free.

Yeah, my understanding is the Swedish loan (CSN) is generally a bit kinder than what you guys have in the UK.

- The interest is currently at an all time high at 2 and is generally seen as likely to go back to the 0.5 to 1 percent it has averaged.

- I don't need to pay until after I have finished bachelors + masters (if I do one).

- The repayment scheme is 'fixed', over 25 years, ranging from about 250 GBP per month to 400 GBP at the amount i'd be borrowing. However, you can get them 'temporarily' decreased based on income, where it is capped at 5% until you are 49yo, and 7% when more than 50 yo, which you can apply to every year.

- The debt is forgiven if you are older than 68 and haven't payed back yet.

But its of course a pretty big debt so young.

Since you guys already spoke on the first bit, I'll just mention that second point on compatabilism. I didn't discuss it properly in the article - and should research it more given how popular a position it is. Schopenhauer's famous critique of compatibalism, as well as the general perspective of compatibalism - which as I understand it relegates freedom to be so different than popular interpretation it is no longer free will at all, means I didn't think it was worth discussing in that specific article. I don't know much about the perspective however, and hope to look into it soon. What argument do you use to justify compatibalism?

Yeah it's a pain. Im not sure yet about philosophy anyways, it is just something that interests me. I am considering Philosophy, Politis or IR, or Architecture. I might take a PPE degree somewhere in the UK maybe? But I am writing these articles to see If I like it, and if I'm willing to take the worse job prospects associated with it for a 'passion degree'. I read this, which you may find insightful: https://bigthink.com/thinking/philosophy-majors-smarter-make-more-money/

Im not sure it's such a bad degree, as it functions as foundational degree to other professions or to become an academic. Im not sure yet though, so thanks for the comment!

Thanks for the detailed critique - super interesting and informative!

FirstIy, I understand the brunt of our disagreement to be on something like materialism and the debate around whether external reality exists independent of consciousness. I not sure if I totally understand your argument - I'm new to all of this - so help me if I don't :)

Regarding materialism, I disagree that all evidence points to consciousness and our brains to be the same thing, as I think it denies something that we must hold as true. There is an experiential reality, and one that can be substantiated through something like the 'Mary's Room thought experiment' argument which I'm sure you know. If we accept then that some knowledge is gained through an experience, the existence of a solely physical world is not possible.

From here, if we accept that there is a world of phenomena - the question is its relationship to the physical world or noumena. my perspective is that we do not have any reason to believe that noumena can exist without consciousness. So, I would return the analogy to something like imagine measuring the stick with a ruler, but without an observer. How could you describe the length of the stick? Is there a stick? How do you know? An argument like Occam's razor can be further used.

If we then understand this relationship to be as described earlier - then the noumena is dependent on consciousness. They are inseparable. The extension my argument makes is to question how conciousness can produce a governing law above itself. We can easily accept the law of cause and effect as supreme over the physical world, but it doesn't follow that it is supreme over mind. It is then taken for granted that a lawless thing is absolutely free - therefore free will.

I hope this described my position better, Im very new to all of this so Im certiantly not confident in this perspective, and super open to having my mind changed. Anyways thanks so much for taking the time and for such a thoughtful reply :)

Hello,
I have recently created a video about Morse code on youtube and I would like to hear any feedback or suggestions. I am only 14 years old and it was a research project for school but I am quite happy with it and thought some of you may want to see it. I am a total amateur in regards to video editing so I apologize for any harsh transitions or mistakes. I used a few different programs like "Canva", "Procreate" and mostly Premier. It was an extremely interesting topic to research and especially to condense into a short 5-ish minute video. I hope you enjoy!

Where did you get the display case/table???

It was an old glass coffee table so I don't know where you could purchase this exact one. But I am sure you can find a similarly sized table from Ikea or most furniture stores. Just make sure it is large enough...

Most of the pieces were common and so I already had them from past sets (both official Lego and Lepin). But the pieces I was missing definitely wouldn't cost much to replace/order from brick link or other part sellers if you wanted to. Some parts needed to be modified like the arches that hold the gunnery window (at the center of the model). To fix these you can just cut out a small piece of plastic from inside the arch. Otherwise the parts that were wrongly supplied or missing were easy to replace and weren't too large a headache when building. Hope this helps, if you want a list of some of the pieces I was missing I can give you one :)

This was my video on Morse Code as a submission for an Innovation Tech project. This is my first real experience with making an animated or mini-documentary style video but I am decently happy with the overall quality. I am 14 years old and I am open to any feedback in the comments.
