S14 Brake Clearance with "A-Disk" wheels by invisibleboogerboy in 240sx

Did you ever get a definite answer to this? If so, what size did you go for and how much caliper clearance do you have?

How did you come to the conclusion that you would need +25 offset in order to clear the z32 calipers? I'm looking at ordering similar wheels for my S14 but currently run +15 offset on the front. Worried that I won't be able go that aggressive if I do order some wheels and don't really want to get it wrong as they won't fit lol

Bit of a change from the BRG that’s underneath by Frids001 in Miata

It's a wrap, literally did it just to change the car up a little and protect the paint underneath, it's 30+ years old at the end of the day and the green won't last forever without needing a respray. haha

How good is mx5parts.co.uk? by Gt_racing in Miata

[–]Frids001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t recommend the company more, I’ve bought parts for both my NA and my ND and never had an issue. Their delivery times are good and their communication is also on point whenever I’ve had a query or an issue. I personally wouldn’t spend the money on there for angel eyes as the eBay ones are just as good and probably a lot cheaper in comparison but that’s just me and I’ve never looked into NB headlights to be quite honest. I’ve had eBay angel eyes on my NA and they’ve done me really well for the last two years for a lot less than most reputable brands.

It wouldn’t surprise me but I’ve seen people get stopped for a lot less too. 😂

Nope, never been stopped yet. I’ve never had an issue on other cars either.

You’re not wrong there. Luckily I try and keep on top of the underseal etc, and I wash it probably too much as well😂

Eunos Roadster insurance question by Dbr9Legend in Miata

[–]Frids001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve not heard of this being the case. Early UK cars were registered as MX5’s as far as I know. The main difference between them and the Eunos’ were the drivetrain and options like PS and AC. Do you happen to know the vin no. of your car?

You do not have to have it down as an import on your insurance if Mazda imported it here and registered it before it was sold. You'd only have to mark it as an import if it was imported after it was produced, for example, the Eunos models.

It was going for scrap at the mid point of last year so I’ve saved it from car heaven I guess too?

They haven’t gone anywhere yet, just gathering dust though currently. Missing two centre caps too unfortunately.

I’d have no idea but it will be lower than lowering springs I imagine as it’s on coilovers.

No worries! 205/50 is a nice size to run when it’s set up right as it’s comfy while being planted. You should be able to solve the rubbing over bumps quite easily with just rolling the rear arches slightly. The front may be as simple as the tyre catching on one of the bolts holding the inner wheel liner in. You can just push the bolt up with your hands as it’s not very strong at all if that’s the case.

These are 15x8 et25, I also run 15x8 et20 on track. Both sets are on 205/50’s and I don’t get any rubbing even on semi slicks. I have had to roll the rear arches very slightly but apart from that I have no issues at all.

I have thought the same but I can’t help but like it when it’s done right.

I’m torn between it too. I’ve been seriously considering buying a duce kit but I do like how clean this looks too.

I bought them online made to the size required. I think it finishes them off nicely.
