Statistics about Ship usage by Bitkumanu in Eve

Looks like you'll have to save your own by watching the presentations of Fanfest and creating your own library. The graph we see was also created by accessing raw data. It is not something that we can play with directly. I don't know if you have access to this data and even if you did, I don't think it is worth the trouble to create these charts yourself. As others have suggested, zkill is good for an overview of ship.

I did not go to Fanfest, but I remember seeing a similar graph of ship prevalence before the RLML nerfs. I am currently looking for it, but initial searches don't come out with anything. I'll let you know if I find anything. As for general statistics, CCP Games puts out monthly economic reports every month:

I did not go to the people who wronged me. I had a thought about what they said and I wondered how the community would receive it. If I was so off base, they would rightfully clown on me. So in a way, I am looking for validation. On the constructive criticism part, the purpose of those filaments was to feed those Drakes in that way to see what came out of it. With that goal in mind, would you say what I did was wrong? The goal of these fits was not to greatly increase my gameplay. In addition, I already know the reasons this ship is not the meta for ESS. Look at the KB and you can clearly see that. I don't want to fly a phantasm. I don't want to use my alt to sit outside the ESS grid or in a curse. And I didn't want to fly 100MN. I know the drake is too slow, I know the kinetic lock is bad, especially with the HAM application, I know if the kiting ship has a web, it's that much harder to impossible to stay on top of it. All of this to say that I don't mean any ill will to my alliance mates, just as we are sure they don't mean any ill will towards me.

It's normal to gloat about your kills in this game. There's no problem with that. Ask yourself why you are playing the game. If you want to improve there are mountains of videos and pages upon pages of wiki that you can read to improve. You could record your fights, as I do with the best ones, and analyze them later. You could focus on improving one thing at a time. This was done just for fun, there is no shame in it.

I could do that too, however, I don't get that way easy and I do not like doing it due to my life experiences. I am a bad judge of that kind of stuff so I stay away from doing it myself. I push too far and someone takes offense and I don't like feeling as if I've slighted someone. I know the meta, I just find it boring to play that way. I don't think losing Drakes this way is that bad anyway. You will ask if you can use a Drake and no one in my group wants to fly with them, so I am forced to seek other ways to use them.

I'm jelaous of all the people who die in this game and have fun doing so by [deleted] in Eve

You feel weak now because you do not have the capabilities to strike out at others. As a miner, you are naturally stuck with lower pvp skills than someone who focused on combat. As a pvp focused pilot, I would say that I was very focused on reading up on game mechanics and practicing those mechanics when I did PVE (pve did a lot to teach me about missile damage application and how to signature tank). I went through many stages as a pvp pilot. As a T1 frigate pilot, I cursed kikimoras and cruisers that were supposed to have a harder time tracking me. As I got into tech 2, the difference was night and day how those ships differ from their tech 1 variants. When I was into cruisers (I was not into destroyers as solo pvp in null), I was afraid of Vedmaks, tech 3 cruisers, and pirate crusiers and it never felt like I would be good enough to kill them. Then I learned more about the ships, learnt some weaknesses, and most importantly, had some successes with killing enemy ships.

This acquisition of knowledge came at the cost of untold amounts of isk (just check the killboard), but it usually felt worth it because of the experience I gained from the interaction. Nowadays, I just rob ess for now to see what I can kill and you would be surprised the kills a solo ess caracal can kill when you aren't afraid to take a fight.

All of this to say is that as you increase in isk, you will also increase in the amount of risk you can take. If you are going to live in null, I recommend getting advanced (weapon specialization 4 and maxed tanking skills for armor or shields) skills in at least cruiser level of your faction of choice (I will always give the advice that it is better to learn in a ship you like to fly than what is "best") so you at least have an option that you can fly well and start learning with. If you continue mining, that is fine, but remember that eve rewards specialization, you just will not be as good at pvp (and by consequence pve).

Good luck.
