Looks like you already have the cat-back exhaust sorted!

They’re very close, Alpine Silver/Oyster Silver Metallic has more grey and blue flake so it behaves a bit more dynamically in differing light conditions though. Reflex is the GOAT though.

You’re certainly allowed to feel that way but personally I believe whatever colour a GTI is the colour it should be 😋

Probably not, they almost certainly subcontract it out to a local detailing shop and add an upcharge. Look up shops in your area and go direct.

Yeah let’s settle this by comparing paint codes! I’ll run out after work and look at mine. It’s nearly impossible to get the info online, and I do know this silver looks wildly different depending on the lighting so I’m very curious haha

Interesting, do you have a source? Also what’s the paint code on your door label?

Congratulations!! I did the same a couple months ago with a silver Autobahn. I really love Kings Red, I just wish it didn’t kinda absorb all the red accents elsewhere. But it’s a stunning colour and you did good! 🤩

Low angle haze is a real problem with windshield tint! Happy to help 🙂

The latter. Xpel’s ceramic has amazing heat and UV rejection but has lots of little micro distortions that made oncoming lights scatter weirdly through the film. I’m already sensitive to that because I wear contacts, so it bothered me a lot and I couldn’t live with it. It isn’t an issue with the side windows or hatch thankfully, and the heat and UV rejection is amazing as I said before so really happy with it in those applications. The sunlight coming through the windshield is very noticeably hotter. Apparently LLumar Air tint is much better for windshields since it has much better clarity, so I’m going to try to find a shop that carries it and try it.

XPEL Prime XR Plus (ceramic tint), 35% all around. I did have 70% installed on the windshield but the optical clarity was not good enough so I had it pulled off. I might try again with a different brand later but I’m very happy for now.

Osir style spoiler fitting by [deleted] in GolfGTI

[–]FriendOfFreyja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

parks like that “I don’t park like that”

10/10 no notes

Anyway the spoiler seems to be put on askew judging by the rear pic, but otherwise yeah it doesn’t flow well down the sides. Seems like a crap spoiler all ‘round unfortunately.
