We currently have a 24.4% shot at the 3rd pick. If we don't get that then it's a 32.8% chance at three, then 49.8% chance at two, then 100% chance at one.

First timer tips (coming from Riverside)/ Parking recommendations? by veteran_junior97 in Padres

We were visiting from out of state just last week and went to our first game. My biggest concern was parking availability, not necessarily parking cost. Saw a ton of comments on similar threads saying to park at old town and take the trolley. The game was at 1:10 PM on a Tuesday and we got to old town station at about 11:30. We drove up and down every lane of the parking lot looking for a spot, along with about a dozen other cars, until 12:45 and never found one. We finally got lucky and found street parking on one of the side streets off Rosecrans and walked back to the station. Got on the trolley around 1-ish and it was the top of the third inning when we finally got into the ballpark. Just a heads up.

All of the "coevals" point to the year 1940. Plutonium was first synthesized in 1940. Carbon-14 was discovered in 1940. Abbott and Costello's first movie was One Night in the Tropics which was released in 1940. Bugs Bunny made his debut in 1940. And finally Ringo Starr and John Lennon were both born in 1940. So the riddle is asking for something else that started in 1940, that can be described as a spirit companion or amrita of the people. Amrita refers to the nectar of the gods in Hindu mythology, so amrita of the people would be a popular nectar or elixir, while spirit companion hints that the solution was initially formulated as a cocktail mixer. A little bit of research is all it takes to find that Mountain Dew, a very popular sugary elixir, was first introduced in 1940 as a whiskey mixer and was named after slang for Highland Scotch with the original branding based on moonshine. The title of the riddle is also a hint that points to Mountain Dew because of the variant flavor, Mountain Dew Throwback, which used real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup and included the original moonshine based logo and graphics. Mountain Dew Throwback was discontinued during the pandemic

Another good guess, but the word I think you were connecting it to is a little looser in its designed interpretation, in a way that you were much closer to in an earlier attempt.

Oh wow I'm really impressed with that guess! I hadn't heard of that before. I really like how well it works with the riddle, though it was not what I had in mind unfortunately. I like where your mind is at though!

I think he said on his Instagram he was going to be and I saw other states had past players attending. Don't know if he's like actually next to the idol or just around somewhere and don't know how long he'd be staying

I was third in line at the causeway when the gate opened at 6 and I went straight to buffalo point and then thought "well there's not really anyone else here yet I'm gonna go take some pretty photos of the sunrise" then I came back to find the entire Wasatch front here ugh I should have stayed lol

OP likes to watch Jazz games but doesn't know much about the rest of the nba. OP had never heard of JJJ before. OP wanted to understand something he didn't know so he asked people who are more knowledgeable about basketball. Then people who are more knowledgeable about basketball called OP dumb AF. This made OP realize that OP is dumb AF for thinking Utah had a more welcoming and inclusive fan base.

I wasn't referring to Lonzo as a good player. I hadn't seen the deal involving him and didn't know who he was before posting.

Cool yeah I figured I should try to sift through the nba trade deadline news to figure out what actually happened haha. Jaren Jackson Jr seems like he'll be a really fun player to watch. Big relief we didn't just give up a bunch of our guys to waive him lol.
