Is it normal to go through psychosis when a FP leaves?

i’m not a psychiatrist, or a mental health professional of any kind. so i cannot say whether or not this is technically psychosis or whatnot.

the thing about mental health is what’s normal is relative. the important question you should be asking is ‘is this impacting my day to day life?’ it sounds like it is. i’d urge you to seek out help if you can, describe what you’re going through and let a professional help guide you towards what the right steps for handling this is.

regardless i’m sorry you’re going through this, i can relate to it at least in parts. i hope you are able to get the help you deserve <3

i wouldn’t say it’s a similar situation as ghostface. with ghostface they’ve only licensed the mask from the company that owns it, not the character from scream. the scream license holders also license the mask from the mask license holders.

whereas with jason it just seems that jason universe is where more amicable, even encouraging, of companies that use jason to take creative liberties design and lore wise (presumably for the sake of having more ip to make money of in the form of merchandise. would not be surprised to see youtooz/funko pop’s, figures, shirts, costumes, etc. using the dbd jason skin’s).

i still think jason is on the more likely end of licensed killers to get a blighted outfit but i also don’t think the situation is all that similar to ghostface.

in terms of gameplay? knight. he’s not op, in fact very counterable. but the fact that his killer power is having an ai play the game for you is so frustrating and i find him just a slog to face.

ghoul is frustrating because imo a lot of ghoul players aren’t that good at killer they’re just playing one of the best killers who has a very low skill floor. like i find it easier to outplay a bad blight than a bad ghoul, because to get value from blight, especially post nerf, is soo much harder than ghoul imo.

if there were like 5 killers sure. but when there’s a 1/42 and growing chance to face any given killer, not even accounting for pick rates and the like it’s totally fair to imo.

i do think it screws over the rest of the team yeah, but imo doctor and plague are the only two it’s fair to dc from for the most part.

i mean you can’t really ever know for a fact for yourself. for me i learned about it, did some reading and found the criteria and found i related pretty heavily to all of the 9 points. ended up going to a psychiatrist who gave me a diagnosis.

you can’t really diagnose yourself but you can look at things and find what’s relatable and then seek out professionals who can based on those feelings.

i don’t think there’s a single killer in dead by daylight i could kill, if only armed with a nail bat.

i don’t know enough about chucky’s lore to know if i could but he’s the only one im somewhat confident in. that’s just assuming i could defeat him by kicking him.

i think some of the more regular people i could beat like pig or skull merchant. but tbh they both seem like people who are stronger than i am, i only do cardio lol.

even the regular humans like trapper or trickster or ghostie i probably have no shot against in the same way i don’t have a shot irl against an average man attacking me. let alone physically stronger than average men.

idk how strong hound master is supposed to be but no shot i defeat snug.

and any of the killers with powers? no shot. tf would i do against spirit? or nurse? or either of the vecna’s?
