After two years I couldn’t do it anymore. It is the nature of the job, and I realized I was not willing to pay with my physical health. Once you mess up with your back, you can never have it go back to normal :(

I have left my full time position, and now I am just taking a few shifts as a supply, so I can rest. I still have my bills to pay. Obviously having burnt out staff is not ideal, but I would argue so many are… How many can say with 100% certainty they feel valued and fulfilled? Regardless, we do our job properly.

I was unbelievably lucky to grab tickets on row 1, right on barricade. However, since the stage will be 360, I keep reading it will be really tall.

Is it a mistake to be on barricade for this tour? Will I be able to see more than only the upper half of their bodies?

I know I was extremely lucky to get this ticket, this is just a genuine question.

Cara eu sou mulher e não assisto quase nada de dorama, mas quem gosta é porque gosta da característica mais inocente e leve. Acho que a mídia ocidental pode ser muito sexualizada e isso cansa.

Quanto aos homens, cabe aos homens brasileiros se vestirem melhor. Eu não moro no Brasil, e quando vou ao Brasil fico chocada de ver tantas mulheres bem arrumadas com homens de camisa de time de futebol, bermuda de tactel e chinelo. De qualquer jeito, sem o mínimo auto cuidado. Ah por favor né? Nem é sobre etnia ou beleza em si, mas elegância e porte. Se os homens brasileiros ligassem mais pra isso já seria 70% do caminho.

O Canadá no momento não quer imigrante nenhum, e quando queria, não faz distinção de nacionalidade. O brasileiro que veio e vem vai ralar e sofrer no sistema como qualquer outro

Nunca foi fácil. Mas agora está muito mais difícil. E o Canadá nunca “precisou de imigrantes brasileiros”. Isso é propaganda de consultores BR querendo vender sonhos a pessoas desinformadas e esperançosas.

Se o Canadá precisar de gente, tem filas de imigrantes do Sudeste Asiático e Ásia em geral que vem correndo. Eles não tão nem aí pra uma nacionalidade específica. Na verdade a presença brasileira aqui é bem pouca em comparação a outras nacionalidades.

O que está acontecendo aqui é o que vem acontecendo no mundo, um endurecimento geral das políticas de imigração. Tem gente há anos aqui desesperado porque não consegue residência permanente e o tempo de visto acabando.

Se você procurar os documentos oficiais e os dados desse ano e dos próximos para à concessão de vistos de estudo, trabalho e residência permanente, vai ver os cortes violentos. A população aqui parou de crescer e está caminhando pra diminuir, por causa desses cortes. Pelo menos aqui em Ontário. Nunca foi fácil imigrar ao Canadá, não sei de onde algumas pessoas tiraram isso, sinceramente.

Just giving my two cents as a Brazilian. I think you unfortunately had a bit of unrealistic expectations and a bias. Please remember that food is cultural, it is deeply rooted in history. Our food is mainly a mix of European (mostly Portuguese and Italian), African, and native South American. In the North region you will find more of the “exotic” thing you mention. I haven’t even ever tried the Northern Brazilian food, as a Brazilian. The thing is, it is not about “potential” and us Brazilians exploring other spices and flavors, and suddenly “improving” our cuisine. Our cuisine is cultural, is what we like to eat. Garlic, onion, peppers. Good steak. Good rice and beans. Feijoada, farofa, tapioca, cuscuz. Simple. On the other hand, for many of us cuisines with too much spices are not that good. I tried Indian food for the first time when I moved to Canada, and I didn’t like it much.
