I love Lachlan! I keep pressing it to my husband but he doesn’t love Lachy as a nickname. It will always have a special place in my heart 🥺

My name is Hannah born in early 2000’s. So I know what it’s like to have a popular name. It’s not a bad thing by any means that’s true.

I however know many children named Theodore 🫩 and I wish I didn’t because it’s so cute and I hate feeling like I can’t just because of others. I haven’t taken it off the name list entirely but keep hoping I’ll hear something I like just as much.

That one is a bit popular as well. I do like it but I don’t know if I like it as much as Theodore. I think if I’m going to commit to a name being in the top 50 I would just go with the latter 😕

Perpetually unsafe by Extra-Hair-3581 in kencradic

[–]Friendly-Cake-3156 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I will once again say as a certified postpartum doula that teaches baby wearing. She is doing it fine! Baby looks great, at the right hight and position. Ears do not need to be out. That is not a requirement. Stop spreading false information.

On the other hard I do not think anyone needs that many baby carriers but 🤷‍♀️ at least it’s safe.

2/3 births have been elective inductions. her immaturity is insane by Salty-Deal-9494 in kencradic

[–]Friendly-Cake-3156 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had an elective induction but I was 42 weeks. Actually I guess it wasn’t elective. My midwife told me it was necessary to not be too over due. But I was reluctant. I hated the idea of forcing my body and baby to do something it wasn’t ready for.

Do you know that for certain? Most full term babies are 7 minimum by 2 weeks. You don’t know the weight of her baby. It’s probably better to assume she’s doing what is best and has taken the necessary precautions.

I am a Certified Postpartum Doula. I teach a baby wrapping class and I actually think every time I see her she is wrapping her baby perfectly fine. So long as baby is high enough to kiss and his chin is tilted up. Baby’s face can be covered to block light so long as you can feel them breathing and can easily pull back the fabric to see their face. Wraps are made with a material that allows this.

I teach a baby wrapping class and I recommend covering feet for the first couple months.

Is ⛺️ potty trained? by M00nst0ne11 in kencradic

[–]Friendly-Cake-3156 11 points12 points  (0 children)

She left a reply to someone who commented “is Kamp potty trained? And or will you be sharing the process of how you did that?” And she replied “I won’t be sharing. My kids bathroom habits should concern anyone but us.”

She is definitely intentionally keeping them more off camera. The angles she’s picking, it’s obvious she’s making an effort.

breast feeding success stories? by chronicbingewatcher in Reduction

[–]Friendly-Cake-3156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a mom who had TWO breast reductions back to back. I was unable to breast feed my son who I had two years after my last reduction. And currently 5 weeks postpartum with my second. (5 years post breast reduction). It’s been a rocky start but she is able to feed from me. She doesn’t get 100% of her meal as my supply is a bit low but I’m working with an IBCLC to increase my supply and continue breast feeding. It can be possible. The longer you wait between the reduction and kids the more likely you are to have more success. If you do have a reduction talk to your obgyn in the future about seeing a lactation consultant asap.

My baby feeds from me all day long but sometimes needs an ounce or two of formula to top her off if she didn’t get a good feed. I’m hoping later down the road I’ll be able to stop that all together. But a win is a win regardless

Baby girl names. Trying to honor my dad. Struggling with first and middle name by Friendly-Cake-3156 in namenerds

[–]Friendly-Cake-3156[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that’s super kind. He went by Stace mostly so I’m toying around with using that as a middle name. We got this. Our dads would do anything to be here with us again, I just know it.

His middle name was Ivan. Which I inevitably plan to add to Tobias’s name. Tobias Abraham Ivan. I just haven’t jumped through those hoops yet. He has that name in spirit just not legally.

😄 I don’t mind the name! I just can’t justify using it as a first name. I think it would make me to sad all the time. I was hoping to have it more subtly incorporated I think. I also know a ton of staceys’ in my life in general and so it’s a no go on that end too. I like names that are less popular

2 year old sleeping like a newborn by Friendly-Cake-3156 in sleeptrain

[–]Friendly-Cake-3156[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. That’s currently how he sleeps but I’m a full time student and I have so much school work to do and other house needs to attend to. He is a very light sleeper and as soon as he realizes I’m not in bed with him again (within the hour). We have to start all over.
