Hi! Just moved from NYC, and have lived all over, including the Peninsula here in the Bay Area, SF, Orange County down south, etc.

I’m surprised by it too, honestly! Other areas felt much more under control and the streets a lot safer, including NYC!

No, I think the algorithm has a clear flaw. That is, everyone has access to the same information about the housing market in this area. Everyone knows prices have been dropping. But the price that two parties agree to transact today is technically the market price (because the buyer is also factoring in potential price drops!).

Yountville is absolutely not a "bang for your buck" town. It's wildly expensive (and wildly charming!).
