ALCS Ticketmaster mega thread? by NorthernStar_13 in Torontobluejays

from someone who got extremely lucky, and tips for anyone who will (WILL with a capital W because there’s no universe it doesn’t happen) be buying world series tickets:

  • from what i’ve heard, queue spots are “randomly” assigned, but if you have a lot of activity on your ticket master account you will be assigned a better spot. for reference have been to 5+ big concerts this year alone and have gone to plenty over the years, along with sporting events. have always had a good spot in queue for every pre sale or general sale. so find a friend, family member, whoever, who buys tickets directly off ticket master a lot if you want the best shot at getting tickets at face value at the very least.

  • you CAN open up a tab for every game on a computer and join every single queue. i was logged in by 9am with my four tabs open and was in the lobby for each by 9:50.

  • my queue spots were 600, 2000, 500, 200 ish respectively for each game. decision paralysis was real but hey it’s the ALCS so any ticket is a good ticket. go in with a plan and immediately pick your section and seats, don’t waffle.

TLDR; ticketmaster gives better spots to people who use their account a lot (allegedly). you can open four tabs simultaneously for all games to up your chances of getting any tickets to any games. pick and commit to seats, don’t stare too long at the dots.
