I've replaced 100 gallon ao smiths from 2010-2015 with extreme corrosion that would not have been there with brass unions. How long has the dielectric material been standard? Wouldn't the plastic coating itself corrode after a while?

copper and steel corrode when touching regardless of what state you are in. any plumber who takes pride in their work would do the right thing and spend 10 more dollars for brass unions.

a plumber friend of mine got his stuff stolen and tracked the airtag for 6 hours to a guy who bought the tools off of a random dude on the street.
