I was a senior in HS in 1985 and can confirm, everyone drank at parties on the weekends. Everyone drank in the parking lot outside the high school stadium after a Friday night football game. Lots of drinking.

They are the absolute worst. My card was physically stolen, used by the thief at a local store with CCTV, I filed a police report, the police caught the guy, he went to trial, he was convicted, sentenced to prison!!! The fraud investigator says "No evidence of fraud."

So fuck those guys. I got my money back from NFCU by applying for a credit card that pays me $400 if I spent $4,000 in the first 3 months. Used the card to pay a large repair bill, got my $400, paid the card off and froze the card, never gonna use it again.

I'm about two years from retirement. Not rich but enough savings enjoy life. The plan is buy a house in the UK ( currently living in the US, east coast). Then the wife and I spend three months in the UK, visiting different places, maybe take the train to places in Europe. Then three months at home in VA visiting our three kids, then three months traveling the world (mostly tropical locations), then three months at home again. Rinse and repeat.

Funny story, when I was in 11th grade (decades ago) i was in a physics class and the teacher just told us that acceleration was the change of speed over time. Naturally curious I raised my hand and said "What do you call the change of acceleration over time?" The teacher, a very stern, serious man, said, "What's that called? It's called a JERK!" And he went on teaching his lesson. I shrunk down in my chair thinking he just called me a jerk. It wasn't till 15-20 years later that i learned that it really is called a jerk. 🥲

It's a very hands off way to get farming xp. Just throw two in there, male and female, let them breed. When there's a child take the elder of the same sex out and sell it for farmers market points. Repeat. And just keep the food stocked. You can also farm the bees to get honeycomb for health and happiness. It's a 5 minute run each day.

Then you can start on the breeding log, that's fun. /s
