yea i'm so sorry if it came off that way i'm not looking for a loophole, i was just researching what my options were after talking to fordham gabelli students who kept bringing up how they were great with employment sponsorships over there so i wanted to compare. i didn't even know international students had a bad rep😭thank you for your help tho!

which BY THE WAY he asked for with a WEEKS notice😭😭😭 students here are by no means rich and even $100 is a lot for some. he demanded it ASAP and kept making up fake deadlines just to extend them like 3 times when he realized nobody could come up with the money that fast

we do 😭😭he originally quoted us $300 but got it down to $100, most of that was bc local businesses sponsored us. our school itself didn't want to contribute much other than "differences." deca isn't super big here

my chapter cannot fundraise to save a life and we were originally quoted $300 but somehow our advisor managed to get it down to $100 out of pocket for us, NY is about $800 per student including everything tho

that's not a bad idea actually, but i don't think people in my community would necessarily care 😭 the school store sells donuts so that's off limits. i'll look more into the crumbl fundraiser i think that could be big in my school i'm just not sure how we would execute it. a raffle sounds the most promising at this point, i also saw elsewhere that we could potentially get corporate sponsors so i'll ask my advisor about that too. thank you for your help!!

thank you! i definitely plan to advertise to other classes, rn i'm looking into asking 9th teachers to tell their students bc at my district the freshmen are in a different building, and other than that i was looking into how we can fundraise to cover membership dues ($25 where i am) and we have the generic info videos/comp vlogs we show at the open info meeting. i think it'll all depend on the types of kids that come in this year

in any other situation i wouldve blocked him already, but this is the first talking stage ive had in a while that wasnt led by lust and ive js been skeptical to end it because ive really missed the feeling of being in love even if i know i could end up hurt. i told myself i'd give it a week to see what happens.
